Symantec Corp. [MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.] (NASDAQ: SYMC) announced that Michael Fey will join Symantec as President and Chief Operating Officer. Michael Fey joined Blue Coat in 2014 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Blue Coat, Mr. Fey served as executive vice president, chief technology officer, and general manager of corporate products for Intel Security. Mr. Fey also managed business operations and strategy for all corporate product business units at McAfee, part of Intel Security. Previously, he was senior vice president of advanced technologies and field engineering at McAfee. Mr. Fey has held leadership positions with Opsware, Mercury Interactive, and Lockheed-Martin.
RueOne Investments [NEW YORK] announced that Stephen Frangione has joined the company as a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining RueOne Investments, Frangione served as a Managing Director at Royal Bank of Scotland. He most recently ran the U.S. Investor Products and Equity Derivatives business. This followed previous stints in markets businesses at Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase. He began his career in consulting at Coopers & Lybrand.
Cardno [TAMPA, Fla.] announced the appointment of Todd K. Wager as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Wager’s most recent position was Group President of the organization’s Transportation Group, which followed his role as Group President of Government Services.
American Hometown Publishing Inc. [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] announced Clarissa Williams has been named Chief Operating Officer. Williams most recently served as president and publisher of the State Journal-Register in Springfield. She has also held leadership roles with Landmark Community Newspapers, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., American Publishing, Halifax Media Group and GateHouse Media.
Mimeo.com [NEW YORK] has announced the appointment of Nicole Parent Haughey as Chief Operating Officer. Parent Haughey co-founded Vertical Research Partners, and served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development at United Technologies. She was also a Managing Director and Global Sector Head at Credit Suisse.
Congruity [PEMBROKE, Mass.] announced that Mark Shirman has joined the company as chief operating officer. Mark most recently served as CEO of RiverMeadow Software. He also served as founder & CEO of GlassHouse Technologies. Before starting GlassHouse, Mark was executive vice president of corporate development and chief technology officer at Convergent Group. Prior to Convergent Group, Mark was responsible for the worldwide eBusiness and CRM lines of business for Cambridge Technology Partners. Previously, Mark ran similar units for BSG/Alliance IT. In 1985, he successfully launched a new breed IT consulting company called Innovative Information Systems, Inc. (IISI). Mark acted as CEO of IISI until its sale to CDI Corporation in 1990, and then served as its president until 1995.
Griffin Structures [IRVINE, Calif.] announced the appointment of Mark Hoglund as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Hoglund has served the company since 1986 in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Hoglund began his career at Lincoln Property Company and held positions with Arthur Andersen and Lockheed Martin IMS. In addition to his early private sector experience, Mr. Hoglund served in a variety of senior public sector management positions including Chief of Staff at the United States Interstate Commerce Commission (as a Presidential appointee), Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of General Services, Deputy Secretary for the California State and Consumer Services Agency (now California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency), Advisor to the California State Treasurer, and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of San Diego.
AxisPoint Health [WESTMINSTER, Colo.] announced that Chris Long has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, Mr. Long founded and served as the President of ClearTurn Consulting Inc. Prior to that role, Mr. Long was COO of StayWell Health Management.
Cousins Properties Incorporated [ATLANTA] (NYSE: CUZ) has promoted Colin Connolly to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Connolly joined Cousins in September 2011 as Senior Vice President focused on acquisitions and dispositions. He became Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in May 2013 and Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in December 2015. Prior to joining Cousins, Mr. Connolly served as Executive Director with Morgan Stanley from December 2009to August 2011 and as Vice President with Morgan Stanley from December 2006 to December 2009.
Wizard World, Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (OTCBB: WIZD) announced that it has promoted Randy Malinoff to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Malinoff has served as interim Chief Operating Officer of Wizard World since March 2016. Mr. Malinoff joined Wizard World on the heels of his most recent position as Senior Vice President and Head of Direct to Consumer E-Commerce for Universal Music Group. Prior to his position with Universal Music Group, Mr. Malinoff served as Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing for Universal Pictures and Executive Vice President and General Manager of Ktel Records.
Metzger Albee Public Relations [BOULDER, Colo.] has promoted Amy Sigrest to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Amy Sigrest, has served as MAPR’s director of Digital Marketing for the last several years, will assume the position of COO. Sigrest will maintain her digital marketing duties while taking on the new role of COO.
