Community Health Systems, Inc. [FRANKLIN, Tenn.] (NYSE: CYH) announced that Tim L. Hingtgen will be promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. Hingtgen will succeed David L. Miller, who previously announced his plans to retire from the Company at the end of the year. Hingtgen joined Community Health Systems in 2008 as a Vice President of Operations. In January 2014, he was promoted to President of Division IV Operations, and in May 2016, he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Community Health Systems, Hingtgen served as a chief operating or chief executive officer of hospital facilities at another for-profit hospital system.
Grant Thornton LLP [CHICAGO] announced Jim Brady as the firm’s chief operating officer. Brady joined Grant Thornton in June 2015 as the firm’s Central region managing partner and a member of its Senior Leadership Team. Prior to joining Grant Thornton last year, Brady served as Deloitte LLP’s national managing partner for U.S. Government Affairs & Public Policy – and also served as CEO of the firm’s U.S.-India audit and advisory joint venture.
SmartBear Software [SOMERVILLE, Mass.] has named Justin Teague as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He is joining SmartBear from Bullhorn, where he was as COO. Previously, Justin was Divisional Vice President and General Manager for PTC. Justin also held various sales and support positions at The Learning Company.
Billaway [NEW YORK] announced the addition of Charnsin Tulyasathien as Chief Operating Officer. Charnsin joined Billaway earlier this year as the Senior Vice President of Mobile. Charnsin previously held product, marketing, and business development roles at Sprint, RadioShack, and epay – a Euronet Worldwide company.
Assemble Systems [Houston, TX] announced that Donald R. Henrich has been named Chief Operating Officer for the company. Mr. Henrich most recently was head of Global Sales for Trimble Navigation’s General Contractor business. Mr. Henrich joined Trimble in 2012 via the acquisition of Vico Software which he cofounded. Prior to starting Vico, he was Vice President and General Manager of Graphisoft US, whom he joined in 2004. Don’s prior industry experience includes start-ups as well as his role as President and CEO of SET. Before SET he was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Parametric Technology Corporation, where he also held General Manager positions running Asia and Europe. Mr. Henrich was also cofounder of MatrixOne, now a subsidiary of Dassault Systemes of France.
IDI, Inc. [BOCA RATON, Fla.] (NYSE MKT: IDI) announced that the Company has appointed Harry Jordan as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of LexisNexis’ health care division. Additionally, Mr. Jordan headed LexisNexis’ M&A strategy.
Eberstein & Witherite [DALLAS] recently hired Tracy L. Clark as their Chief Operating Officer. Tracy has worked in legal management positions for some of the most prominent legal organizations in Dallas.
Colerain RV [CINCINNATI] announced the promotion of Wade Stepp to President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Stepp joined the Company in 2001 and had most recently been acting in the role of Executive Vice President of Operations.
Intrexon Corporation [GERMANTOWN, Md.] (NYSE: XON) announced the appointment of Andrew J. Last as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently Dr. Last served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Affymetrix. Dr. Last also previously served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Affymetrix. Prior to joining Affymetrix, Dr. Last was Vice President, Global & Strategic Marketing of Becton Dickinson’ BioSciences Cell Analysis Division & General Manager of Pharmingen. He has also held executive positions with Applied Biosystems and Incyte Genomics. Further, Dr. Last spent a significant tenure with Monsanto Company serving in numerous leadership positions including Director, Worldwide Business and Category Management, and Director, Ortho Home & Garden, for the Solaris Group, as well as Manager, Innovation and Product Development, Europe/Africa, for the Agricultural Group.
Meredith Corporation [DES MOINES, Iowa and NEW YORK] (NYSE: MDP) announced that its Board of Directors has elected Tom Harty as President and Chief Operating Officer. Harty joined Meredith in 2004 as Vice President of its Magazine Group and subsequently served as its Chief Revenue Officer and President of Consumer Magazines. He was named National Media Group President in 2010. Immediately prior to joining Meredith, Harty was Senior Vice President for The Golf Digest Companies.
