Michael Baker International [PITTSBURGH] named Dale R. Spaulding as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Spaulding brings more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering, environmental planning and construction management including infrastructure projects. Spaulding has been with Michael Baker for six years.
Silvernest [BOULDER, COLO.] announced Mike Emerson has joined the company as chief operating officer (COO). Emerson joins Silvernest after co-founding and serving as both COO and chief financial officer for Qtera. Prior to that, he was vice president of Live Video for publicly-traded Zayo Group. Before Zayo Group, he served as general manager of licensing for Wazee Digital. Emerson also co-founded TechWell.
Paraco Gas [RYE BROOK, N.Y.] is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Muscato as its first Chief Operating Officer. He has previous experience working at companies such as Pepsi Cola and Nestlé Waters, where he was the Executive Vice President and General Manager. Most recently, Dave worked for Schwan Food Company.
Sotheby’s [NEW YORK] (NYSE: BID) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Chinn to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Adam Chinn joined Sotheby’s in January 2016 through the acquisition of Art Agency, Partners, where he had been a partner for two years. Prior to that, Adam was a co-founder of the boutique investment bank Centerview Partners LLC and a former partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
PTC [NEEDHAM, Mass.] (NASDAQ: PTC) announced the appointment of Craig Hayman to a newly created role of chief operating officer (COO). Prior to joining PTC, Hayman was president of eBay Enterprise. Hayman also served for more than 15 years in senior leadership positions at IBM, including as worldwide general manager of IBM’s SaaS portfolio.
Glaukos Corporation [SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.] (NYSE: GKOS) announced that Chris M. Calcaterra has been named Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Calcaterra joined Glaukos in 2008 and has served as its Chief Commercial Officer since that time. Prior to joining Glaukos, he was a senior vice president responsible for the cataract business at Advanced Medical Optics, Inc. He previously held increasingly responsible leadership positions in a variety of sales and marketing roles at AMO, as well as AMO’s predecessor surgical division business at Allergan, Inc.
Citizens, Inc. [AUSTIN, Texas] (NYSE: CIA) appointed Terry Festervand as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Festervand joins Citizens with over 18 years of insurance experience at American International Group, Inc. (“AIG”). Festervand brings Citizens’ team expertise in coordinating publicly traded company responsibilities with insurance operations, having been an EVP, CFO at AIG.
Marketo, Inc. [SAN MATEO, Calif.] announced that it has hired Greg Wolfe as its new chief operating officer (COO). Wolfe will succeed executive vice president and COO Jason Holmes. Wolfe was executive vice president and general manager, global operations and sales at Business Objects (acquired by SAP) before leaving the company to found Emalex. His more than 25 years of experience leading sales and operations for enterprise technology companies include executive leadership positions at Crystal Decisions (acquired by Business Objects in 2004) and Xerox.
RedBlack® [BEDFORD, N.H.] announced the appointment of financial industry veteran John F. Grimaldi as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to joining RedBlack, Grimaldi worked in executive roles of increasing responsibility at SunGard Data Systems from 2001 to 2016. Most recently, he served as Group President of SunGard. Before that, he was Executive Vice President for SunGard’s North American Securities Processing business and EVP and General Manager for the Securities Finance business unit.
IMM [BOULDER, Colo.] has appointed agency veteran Gina Lee to Chief Operating Officer. Formerly Senior Vice President of Media at IMM. With more than 15 years of experience in the digital space, Lee’s pedigree includes stints at New York-based Soho Digital and Google. Lee currently acts as the Vice President on the board of the Rocky Mountain Golden Bears Alumni Association.
UniWorld Group, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced Gregory Edwards has been promoted to Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer. He has developed advertising and marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Frito Lay, Quaker and Gerber, to name a few. Previously, Greg worked for the Leo Burnett Group.
Lilis Energy, Inc. [SAN ANTONIO] (OTCQB: LLEX) announced it has appointed Brennan Short as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Lilis Energy, Short worked for EOG Resources, SM Energy, Burlington Resources, Conoco, and Fina Oil & Chemical Co. in various operations and field positions.
AmpliPhi Biosciences Corporation [SAN DIEGO] (NYSE MKT: APHB) announced the appointment of Igor P. Bilinsky, as its Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He succeeds Wendy S. Johnson, who served as AmpliPhi’s interim COO. Prior to joining AmpliPhi, Bilinsky was General Manager of Immuno-Oncology and Senior Vice President of Special and Research Operations at Ignyta, Incorporated. Previously he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Vical Incorporated and was Vice President, Business Development and Special Operations at Halozyme Therapeutics. Earlier in his career, Bilinsky was CEO of Androclus Therapeutics. At The Boston Consulting Group, he served in positions of increasing responsibility as a management consultant, project leader and ultimately as principal.
Northern Trust [ST. LOUIS] announced it has appointed former Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zweifel Chief Operating Officer of its Wealth Management office in St. Louis, Mo. Before joining Northern Trust, Zweifel served as Missouri state treasurer from 2009 – 2017. Prior to that, he was a member of the State House of Representatives from 2002 – 2009. His service to Missouri also includes numerous civic positions, including several ongoing ones: board secretary, Missouri Board of Fund Commissioners; trustee, State Employees Retirement System; commissioner, Housing Development Commission; and chairperson, Pension & Trust Committee of the National Association of State Treasurers. Previously, he was as a chairperson for the Missouri Military Partnership.
Sunverge Energy [SAN FRANCISCO] announced Martin Milani as its first Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Nexant, he served as a CEO, CTO head of products and strategy and Chief Architect for a succession of leading companies including Tidal Software, Intersperse, iBuilding, Times Mirror Corporation and Wells Fargo. He also held development roles at Retix, IBM and Locus Computing.
