Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA) [WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.] announced that it has appointed Christina Mott as Chief Operating Officer. Mott previously served as Innovation Leader, Marsh Global Risk & Specialties. Her prior roles at MMC include Global Head of Innovation for MMC Corporate and Director of Solution Development for Oliver Wyman.
Ossia, Inc. [BELLEVUE, Wash.] announced that Gaston Zenden has joined the executive team as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Ossia, Zenden served as Head of Network Services at Ericsson. He previously served as Managed Service COO with Clearwire, Inc.
Teza Capital Management LLC [CHICAGO] announced that Reinhold Gebert has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Gebert most recently held the same positions at Gresham Investment Management. Previously, Gebert was Managing Director and CAO of the wealth management business at Barclays Wealth Americas. Prior to that, he was SVP and CAO of Private Investment Management at Lehman Brothers. He spent four years at McKinsey & Company in their financial services practices.
WSFS Financial Corporation [WILMINGTON, Del.] (NASDAQ: WSFS) announced that Rodger Levenson has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Levenson joined WSFS in November 2006 as Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking. He served as Chief Commercial Banking Officer through April 2015 at which time he assumed the role of interim Chief Financial Officer until June 2016. Most recently, Levenson served as Chief Corporate Development Officer.
Alta Energy [SAN MATEO, Calif.] announced the appointment of Paul Detering as Alta Energy’s chief operating officer and board member. Detering founded and led Tioga Energy, served as the CEO and CFO at REC Solar and led CODA Energy as its first CEO.
Axia Technology Partners [INDIANAPOLIS, IN] announced the addition of Don Scifres as Chief Operating Officer. Scifres is a co-founder and general partner of VisionTech Partners and VisionTech Angels. Throughout his career, Scifres has held leadership positions at several prominent companies, including Cummins Inc., ANGEL Learning Inc., Courseload Inc. and SmartFile.
EQT Corporation [PITTSBURGH] (NYSE: EQT) announced the appointment of Jeremiah J. Ashcroft III as senior vice president and chief operating officer for EQT Midstream Partners, LP. Ashcroft has a distinguished military career with the United States Marine Corps, as well as more than 15 years of experience in the oil, gas, and pipeline industries. His most recent position was chief executive officer of Gulf Oil L.P. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for JP Energy Partners where he led their initial public offering and had P&L responsibility for their NGL, crude, and refined products businesses. He also spent several years with Buckeye Partners, L.P. Ashcroft held various roles of increasing responsibility while with Buckeye, including vice president of field operations, senior vice president global operations, and president of three business units. Ashcroft began his energy career with Colonial Pipeline Company, L.P.
Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. [SOUTHFIELD, Mich.] announced that Cheung Kwan has joined Century Insurance Group, a division of Meadowbrook, in the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.
Security Innovation [WILMINGTON, Mass.] announced the addition of Jeff Emig as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Emig served as Chief Operating Officer for RobbinsKersten Direct. Prior to that, Jeff was a Principal at Brook Venture Partners. Before Brook, he was a founding team member at Tenor Networks.
FTD Companies, Inc. [DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.] (NASDAQ: FTD) announced the appointment of Simha Kumar as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Kumar joins FTD from Sears Holding Corporation where he served as President of the Toys, Sporting Goods and Fitness retail divisions. At Sears Holdings he also served as Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive. Kumar Previously held key leadership roles at Amazon.com, including Category Leader, Consumer Electronics, and Category Leader, Consumer Electronics, where he led merchandising, operations, marketing and financial planning. Kumar worked at JPMorgan Chase from 2005 to 2011, serving as the Director of the Corporate Strategy group as well as the Director of Marketing. Earlier in his career, he held positions as an Associate at McKinsey & Company, Manager of E-commerce for Bluespark, Inc., and Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Vident Financial [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Deborah Kimery as Chief Operating Officer of Vident Financial. Prior to joining Vident, Kimery was the Executive Vice President of Operations and a Principal at Ronald Blue & Co. In addition, Kimery served in various leadership roles with ING North America Investment Centre and Carillon Mutual Funds.
