Aceable [AUSTIN, Texas] has announced the promotion of Erin Defossé to COO. Defossé was previously Chief Product Officer at Aceable. Before joining Aceable, he was SVP of Product Management at Bazaarvoice and also founded the Magellan International School. He started his career as an engineer for NASA.
First Foundation Inc. [IRVINE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: FFWM) announced the promotion of Lindsay Lawrence from Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of First Foundation Bank. Lindsay joined First Foundation Bank in 2015 as Executive Vice President, Director of Depository Services and most recently served as Chief Banking Officer. Prior to joining First Foundation, Lawrence was the Commercial Deposits Executive at Umpqua Bank, and before that the Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer at Opus Bank.
Amyris, Inc. [EMERYVILLE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: AMRS) announced that Eduardo Alvarez joined Amyris as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he served as Global Operations Strategy Leader for PwC. His experience also includes roles at General Electric and AT&T.
CE Power Engineered Services, LLC [CINCINNATI] announced that Mark Levine will join the company as the Chief Operating Officer. Levine is returning to the power engineering and services industry as the Chief Operating Officer of CE Power. He previously held positions at Westinghouse and then the Eaton Electrical Services and Systems Division as Division Controller and then as Lead Operations for US based operations. In 2013, Levine joined Consolidated Glass Holdings as the CFO / COO.
IEEE [PISCATAWAY, N.J.] announced that Stephen Welby will become its executive director and chief operating officer, effective on January 2, 2018. Most recently, Welby served as the US assistant secretary of defense for research and engineering.
Histogenics Corporation (Histogenics) [WALTHAM, Mass.] (NASDAQ: HSGX) announced the promotion of Stephen Kennedy from Chief Technology Officer to Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Histogenics in 2013, Kennedy served as the Executive Vice President, Research and Development at Mascoma Corporation from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, Kennedy spent 18 years at Genzyme Corporation, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Biologics Technical Operations. He has also served as Executive Director of the Novartis/MIT Center for Continuous Manufacturing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
BallenIsles Country Club [PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA] has named Troon Privé Division President Ryan Walls as its new general manager/COO. Since joining Troon in 1996, his operational leadership positions have included directing the company’s Australia, Asia & Pacific divisions. Prior to being appointed president of Troon Privé in 2016, he served as Troon’s senior vice president of operations.
AEGIS Energy Risk [THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS] announced that Bryan Sansbury has joined the company as its Chief Operating Officer. Bryan is a founding partner and has been an outside advisor to the firm since 2013. Bryan joins AEGIS from Alight Solutions, where he most recently served as president of the Health & Wealth Solutions business. Prior to this role, Bryan served as the chief operating officer and chief information officer of Aon Hewitt.
Synlogic [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] (NASDAQ: SYBX) announced the addition of Andrew Gengos as Chief Operating Officer. Gengos served for more than seven years as Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development at Amgen. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer of Dynavax Technologies. Earlier in his career, Gengos served as Vice President of Strategy at Chiron Corporation and as a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Prior to joining Synlogic, Gengos served as President and CEO of Neuraltus Pharmaceuticals and, most recently, as President and CEO of ImmunoCellular Therapeutics.
ExtensionEngine [CAMBRIDGE, MASS.] announced it has named Shlomi Dinoor as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to being named Chief Operating Officer, Shlomi Dinoor served as Principal at ExtensionEngine. Prior to joining ExtensionEngine, Dinoor held senior-level engineering and product roles at Energy Points, CyberArk Software, and CA Technologies.
Blue Nile [SEATTLE] announced the appointment of Ruth Sommers as Chief Operating Officer. Sommers most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for David Yurman. Prior to David Yurman, Sommers was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NOI Solutions. She also served as Chief Sourcing and Production Officer at American Eagle Outfitters, and as Managing Director of Ann Taylor’s overseas offices, which was preceded by more than 15 years at L Brands in several executive leadership roles.
3PEA International, Inc. [HENDERSON, Nev.] has named Joan M. Herman Chief Operating Officer. Herman is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA) and serves as its Treasurer. Herman comes to 3PEA from Sunrise Banks, where she served as Senior Vice President, Payments Division. Prior to Sunrise Banks, Herman worked at UMB Bank in Kansas City, Mo., Boatmen’s Bank (now Bank of America), Heartland Bank, and served as a Director at Heartland Payment Systems from 1997 to 2006.
Crew Energy Inc. [CALGARY, Alberta] (TSX: CR) announces that Robert Morgan, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Crew, has resigned his position with the Company in order to pursue an opportunity as President and Chief Executive Officer with a publicly traded, crude oil production and development company focused in Saskatchewan.

Kelly has been with Worldwide Facilities for the past 11 years and most recently served as Chief Financial Officer before transitioning to the Chief Operating Officer role. Prior to Worldwide Facilities, he served in management roles in wholesale insurance distribution as well as insurance underwriting.
