CarMax, Inc. [RICHMOND, Va.] (NYSE: KMX) announced that Cliff Wood plans to retire as executive vice president and chief operating officer by the end of the summer of 2018 and will be succeeded by Ed Hill, currently CarMax’s executive vice president, strategy and business transformation. Hill was promoted to executive vice president, strategy and business transformation in 2016. He joined CarMax in 1995 as director of service operations and progressively advanced to senior vice president, assuming leadership for CarMax’s corporate strategy in 2012. Prior to joining CarMax, he served in operational roles for several technology companies.
Allegiant Travel Company [LAS VEGAS] (NASDAQ: ALGT) has appointed Scott Sheldon to serve as both its chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Sheldon officially assumed the role of chief operating officer on October 24, 2017. He had previously served as interim chief operating officer since May 2017. Sheldon has served as Allegiant’s chief financial officer since 2010. He joined Allegiant in 2004 as director of accounting, and served as principal accounting officer from 2007 to 2010 prior to his appointment as CFO. Before joining Allegiant, Sheldon worked for the firm Perry-Smith, LLP.
Novelion Therapeutics Inc. [VANCOUVER, British Columbia] (NASDAQ: NVLN) announced the appointment of Jeffrey Hackman as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Jeffrey Hackman was most recently senior vice president, head of the US Internal Medicine and Oncology franchises for Shire. Prior to joining Shire, Hackman was vice president and region head for North America at Baxalta US. Before that, Hackman was senior vice president of commercial operations, chief operating officer and board member at Sigma-Tau and Sigma-Tau Health Sciences USA. Hackman has also held senior commercial leadership positions with Intercell AG, Emergent Biosolutions, MedImmune and Sanofi Pasteur.
South Carolina Electric & Gas Company [CAYCE, S.C.] (NYSE: SCG) announced that Keller Kissam will become President and Chief Operating Officer of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company.
Maplewood Senior Living [WESTPORT, Conn.] announced that it has promoted Shane Herlet to Chief Operating Officer. He joined Maplewood Senior Living in April 2011 as the Executive Vice President of Operations.
Digital Pi [SANTA CLARA, Calif.] has appointed Ari S. Milstein as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Milstein brings over twenty years of executive finance and operations expertise to Digital Pi from leadership positions at Mercury Media, MSL Group, Schwartz Communications, and Adlex.
Attunity Ltd. [BURLINGTON, Massachusetts] (NASDAQCM: ATTU) announced the appointment of Mark Logan as Chief Operating Officer of Attunity. He has served in numerous executive management roles, including as CEO of WealthEngine, CEO of Rivermine, COO of Emptoris and General Manager of Peoplesoft and JD Edwards.
Cold Carriers [ORLANDO, FL] announced that Randy Savoy has joined the company as its Chief Operating Officer. Savoy had been with Swift since 2003 and previously ran Swift Transportation’s temperature controlled division.
Groupon [CHICAGO] announced that Steve Krenzer will join the company as Chief Operating Officer. Krenzer was most recently the CEO of Core Digital Media (CDM). Prior to CDM, Krenzer held a variety of senior executive positions at Experian, ultimately serving as President of Interactive Media. In 2012, he led the management group of LowerMyBills, ClassesUSA and PriceGrabber.
Snipp Interactive Inc. [TORONTO] (OTCQB: SNIPF) (TSX-V: SPN) announced that it has appointed Megan Prikhodko as Chief Operating Officer. Prikhodko joined Snipp in May 2015 with over 10 years of software development and management experience. Prior to her recent appointment as Chief Operating Officer, she was Snipp’s Executive Vice President of Operations. Prior to Snipp, Prikhodko was an executive at Precision Computer Works, Inc. She worked with the American Heart Association, American Medical Association, and the National Academies of Science.
MSCI Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: MSCI) announced that it has appointed Laurent Seyer to the position of Chief Operating Officer, in addition to his current role as Chief Client Officer. Seyer has served as Chief Client Officer since September 2016. He previously served as the Global Head of Client Coverage from 2014 to 2016. Prior to joining MSCI, Seyer worked for AXA Investment Managers in Paris, most recently as Global Head of the Client Group. Prior to that, he spent 24 years at Societe Generale in many leadership positions, including as CEO of Lyxor Asset Management.
Northwest Bancshares, Inc. and Northwest Bank [WARREN, Pa.] (NASDAQGS: NWBI) announced that Ronald J. Seifferthas been hired to serve as President and Chief Operating Officer of both entities. Seiffert began his banking career with a prominent mid-west bank and served in various positions for 23 years, most recently serving as Vice-Chairman of the bank’s Commercial Banking Group. Most recently, Seiffert served for six years as Chairman, President and CEO of a community bank in central Ohio
CityBase [CHICAGO] announced the addition of Josh Mallamud to its team as its Chief Operating Officer. Josh was most recently Senior Vice President at DialogTech. Prior to DialogTech, Josh cofounded a social commerce business in Shanghai. Josh is a board member of Sentic Technologies and Aclaimant. He was an attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson and a management consultant at companies such as BlackRock, Adobe, and Sotheby’s on strategy execution.
