AXT, Inc. [FREMONT, Calif.] (NASDAQ: AXTI) announced that it has appointed Wilson Lin as chief operating officer. Before joining AXT, he served as director and CEO of General Photonics Corporation. Prior to General Photonics, Lin held various management positions of increasing responsibility at Newport Corporation.
Almost Never Films, Inc. [LOS ANGELES] (OTCQB: HLWD) announced the appointment of Damiano Tucci as Chief Operating Officer. Tucci was most recently Co-Founder of Parkside Pictures.
IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. (IAP) [ALEXANDRIA, Va.] announced the appointment of Rob Hargis as Chief Operating Officer a newly established position for IAP. Hargis, formerly Vice President of IAP’s National Security & Technology business unit, will now oversee operations for all business units at IAP. Previously, Hargis was Vice President, Operations for Kestrel – Boeing Defense, Space & Security after serving throughout the Defense and Intelligence Communities.
Sea-Land Chemical Company [WESTLAKE, Ohio] announced the promotion of Jennifer Altstadt to Chief Operating Officer. Altstadt joined Sea-Land in 2015 as the Director of Marketing and was promoted in 2016 to Senior Vice President of Operations and Strategy. Prior to joining Sea-Land, Altstadt served as the President of Libra Industries and Weatherchem Corporation and has over 25 years of experience developing profitable and sustainable growth.
NeverBounce [BEACHWOOD, Ohio] announced it has named Marty McGreevy Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining NeverBounce, McGreevy was the Chief Marketing Officer at DDR Corporation. Before DDR, McGreevy was a Managing Partner at MC Advisors and President of Cyclonix Inc.
EDR [SHELTON, CONN] announced that Dean Graves has been promoted to the position of president and chief operating officer. Graves joined EDR just over a year ago as executive vice president of client services, and was most recently chief commercial officer.
Beacon Health Option [BOSTON] announced Daniel McCoy as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. McCoy comes to Beacon from Amedisys, where he served as Chief Operating Officer for the past two years. Previously, McCoy spent 30 years with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. His most recent position at the company was Senior Vice President of Operations.
Gryphon Technologies [WASHINGTON] announced that Jerry Punderson, former Senior Executive at Naval Sea Systems Command and former Senior Vice President of Defense and Intelligence (D&IC) at the Professional Services Council (PSC), joined the team as Chief Operating Officer. He began his civil service career in 1981 as an intern for the Naval Electronic Systems Command and subsequently joined the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in a contracting position. He joined NAVSEA in 1985 as a contract negotiator and in 2001 he was named director of the Undersea Systems Contracts Division. In 2004, he became a member of the Senior Executive Service and appointed as NAVSEA’s Director of Contracts. After leaving the Navy Punderson was the Senior Vice President of D&IC at the PSC.
Iconic Therapeutics [SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.] announced the appointment of Brandon Smith as Chief Operating Officer. He joins Iconic from Impax Laboratories, Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy. Prior to Impax, he was an Executive Director at Amgen, Inc. He has also been a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group and Production Engineer and Plant Supervisor at BASF Corporation.
Watercrest Senior Living Group [VERO BEACH, Fla.] welcomes Debra Gardner Hussey as Chief Operating Officer. Hussey’s experience includes Regional Director of Manor Care’s Southeastern Division, Regional Director of Greystone Communities and most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations for Benchmark Senior Living.
Janus Global Operations (JGO) [WASHINGTON] has named Frederick “Rick” Nohmer as chief operating officer (COO). Most recently, Nohmer was Vice President of Operations for IAP Worldwide Service’s Global Support Services division. A career Army infantry officer, Nohmer served in multiple assignments including several tactical overseas assignments as well as at NATO HQ assigned to the Joint Staff. His last military assignment was as garrison commander. Nohmer joined IAP after retiring from the Army. Among his roles with IAP were program manager to the Vice President of Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Federal and Contingency Operations; Vice President of Navy/Marine Corps Programs; and Director of Global Services.
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) [DALLAS] has named Darren Temple as its new chief operations officer (COO). Temple previously served as the association’s Chief Business Development Officer. Temple has made significant contributions since joining the MPI Global Team in September 2014 and as a past member of the MPI Board of Directors (2012-2014). Prior to MPI, Temple held leadership positions with Visit Dallas, PSAV Presentation Services and Freeman.
Douglas Dynamics, Inc. [MILWAUKEE] (NYSE: PLOW) announced the Company’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Robert (Bob) McCormick, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
