Tailored Brands, Inc. [FREMONT, Calif.] (NYSE: TLRD) announced that Bruce Thorn has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Thorn joined Tailored Brands as executive vice president, chief operating officer, in June 2015. Thorn will continue to serve on the Company’s executive committee. Prior to joining Tailored Brands, Thorn was employed by PetSmart, Inc. in various positions, most recently as executive vice president, store operations, services and supply chain. Prior to joining PetSmart, Inc., he served in various leadership roles with Gap, Inc., Cintas Corporation, LESCO, Inc. and The United States Army.
Nobilis Health Corp. [HOUSTON] (NYSE MKT: HLTH) announced the appointment of Marc Celia as the company’s Executive Vice President of Operations. He most recently served as the Vice President of Continuous Improvement for United Surgical Partners International/ Tenet Healthcare (“USPI”). Prior to his role at USPI, Celia spent five years as Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital.

Janus Global Operations [WASHINGTON] has named long time Nils C. “Chris” Sorenson as interim chief operating officer. Sorenson served in the U.S. Army for 29 years. Since retiring from the U.S. Army, Sorenson has served as a leader in companies that provide worldwide security, training, and managed services. He was the chief operating officer for Triple Canopy Inc., the chief of staff for Constellis Group Inc., and the president for ACADEMI LLC. Sorenson also served on the board for National Strategic Protective Services LLC, as well as the National Defense Industry Association’s Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict division. Sorenson assumes the duties formerly held by Alan Weakley.
Becker Media [OAKLAND, CA] has promoted Bill Buchanan to Chief Operating Officer. Buchanan joined Becker Media in early 2016 as head of digital media. He brings more than 25 years of direct marketing experience to Becker Media, most recently with Corinthian Colleges. Buchanan started his career at Greenpoint Mortgage, where he directed all retail marketing. Buchanan then moved to Providian Financial Corporation where he held several senior executive marketing assignments including Senior Vice President of Platinum Marketing, Senior Vice President of New Account Business and Executive Vice President of New Channel & Product Development.

15 Seconds of Fame, Inc. (15SOF) [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Alix Cottrell as Chief Operating Officer. Cottrell previously held senior positions at Time Warner Cable, Comcast and AOL. Cottrell served as the leader of video for Time Warner Cable.
NiSource Inc. [MERRILLVILLE, Ind.] (NYSE: NI) announced that Jim Stanley executive vice president and chief operating officer, will retire from the company effective June 1, after more than 40 years in the energy industry.

FiscalNote [WASHINGTON] announced Martin Kilmer as Chief Operating Officer. Kilmer was most recently Vice President of Global Commercial Operations for LexisNexis.
Outset Medical [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced the appointment of Gus Castello as the company’s chief operating officer. From early 2002 until late 2013, he held the positions of Vice President of Manufacturing and later, Senior Vice President of Product Operations worldwide for Intuitive Surgical, Inc. Prior to Intuitive Surgical, Gus held various leadership positions with United States Surgical Corporation, spending the last six of his 10-year career with USSC as general manager for USSC’s Caribbean manufacturing plants
NewsCred [NEW YORK] announced that Charles Hough has joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Hough served as COO of View The Space (VTS). Prior to VTS, Hough was COO of Lithium Technologies. Hough was also VP of product at Interwoven.
