Fringe Benefit Group [AUSTIN, Texas] announced that John Malnar has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO). Malnar most recently served as CFO of YapStone Holdings, Inc. Prior to YapStone, Malnar served as CFO at PayPros and spent more than a decade in New York at BlackRock, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan.
TreeHouse Foods, Inc. [OAK BROOK, Ill.] announced that Robert B. Aiken Jr. has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of TreeHouse. Most recently, Aiken served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Essendant Inc. Prior to Essendant, Aiken served as the Chief Executive Officer of Feeding America. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of US Foods. Additionally, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Metz Baking Company.
USPA Global Licensing Inc. [WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.] announced the signing of J. Michael Prince as COO. Prince comes to USPA Global Licensing after serving as President and COO of global fashion brand Cole Haan. Prince has held senior leadership positions with iconic global lifestyle brands such as Cole Haan, Converse, Guess and Nike.
Checkmate Pharmaceuticals [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced the appointment of Karen Brennan as Chief Operating Officer. Brennan recently held the position of Vice President of Clinical and Development Operations at Forum Pharmaceuticals, and prior to that held similar positions of progressively increasing responsibility at Millennium/Takeda and other companies.
Sutherland Asset Management Corporation [NEW YORK] announced that Carole Mortensen has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Mortensen has worked for Waterfall Asset Management, the external manager of Sutherland, since 2011. Most recently, Carole served as Managing Director of the Capital Markets team. She previously served as Head of Asset Management. Before joining Waterfall, Mortensen has held several positions within the financial services industry including Ally Bank, UBS Investment Bank, Credit Suisse and Moody’s Investors Service.
iWorks Corporation [MCLEAN, Va.] announced that Charlie Sowell has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Sowell brings 30 years of national security experience to the iWorks team, including roles as Deputy Assistant Director for Special Security and Program Executive for Security Clearance Reform as a Senior National Intelligence Service officer at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He held executive leadership positions at SRA International, ORION Scientific Systems, McDonald Bradley, and, most recently, Salient CRGT.
iCIMS, Inc. [Matawan, New Jersey] announced that effective Sept. 1, 2017, Ronald Kasner will serve as the company’s president and COO. Kasner, who has been with iCIMS since 2010 and has 13 years of software experience, currently serves as the company’s chief financial officer.
