Shake Shack Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: SHAK) appointed Zach Koff to serve as the Company’s first Chief Operating Officer. Zach has held various roles as Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Operations. Koff held numerous operations roles at Bravo Brio Restaurant Group prior to joining Shake Shack in 2010.
Quartet [NEW YORK] welcomed David Liu as the President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Liu most recently was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Knewton. Prior to Knewton, Mr. Liu was at AOL where he was Senior Vice President of Global Messaging.
Graybug Vision, Inc [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced Thomas S. Templeman as Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Templeman joins Graybug Vision from Medivation (acquired by Pfizer in late 2016), where he was Senior Vice President Pharmaceutical Operations and Quality. Over the past two decades Dr. Templeman has held management positions at, among others: Ortho Diagnostic Products and Centocor Biologics; Liquidia Technologies, where he was Senior Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain; and at Hospira, where he was Vice President, Manufacturing, Science & Technology.
Children’s Minnesota [MINNEAPOLIS and ST. PAUL, Minn] welcomed Marc Gorelick, MD, as its new president and chief operating officer. Dr. Gorelick, who is chief operating officer and executive vice president of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), will begin his role at Children’s Minnesota on March 20. Dr. Gorelick’s previous positions include serving as executive vice president of Children’s Hospital and Health System and professor of pediatrics (emergency medicine) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Additionally, he served as chief executive officer of Children’s Specialty Group and vice president of surgical services, medical director of the emergency department and chief of pediatric emergency medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Viacom Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA) announced the appointment of Sarah Levy as Chief Operating Officer of its Global Entertainment Group. Levy most recently served as COO of the Viacom Kids & Family Group and COO of Nickelodeon prior to that role. During her 18-year tenure at Viacom, she has overseen various businesses and departments ranging from Consumer Products to TV Networks to Ad Sales.
Valley National Bancorp [WAYNE, N.J] (NYSE: VLY) , the holding company for Valley National Bank, announced the retirement of Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Peter Crocitto, effective February 28, 2017.
DiamondRock Hospitality Company [BETHESDA, Md] (NYSE: DRH) announced Thomas Healy will join the Company as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Healy has worked at Strategic Hotels and Resorts since 2006 and most recently served as EVP/Co-Head of Asset Management. Prior to Strategic Hotels and Resorts, Mr. Healy served in various corporate and property operational roles for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
Addus HomeCare Corporation [DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.] (NASDAQ: ADUS) announced the hiring of W. Bradley Bickham as Executive Vice President – Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Mr. Bickham served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for United Surgical Partners International (USPI) since September 2014. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for, among other companies, Correctional Healthcare Companies and CCS Medical. He was also Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Odyssey Healthcare from June 2003 through its acquisition by Gentiva Health Services in August 2010.
Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. [MIAMI] (NYSE MKT: LTS) announced Adam Malamed has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Malamed currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Ladenburg and has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer reflecting his executive role at the company. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2012. Prior to his current role, he spent five years as the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc.
GIFTED Healthcare [NEW ORLEANS] announced Kay Cowling President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Most recently, Cowling was CEO of Fastaff and US Nursing. Prior to being recruited to Fastaff, Cowling was SVP of OneCall Care Management (the largest Workers Comp Network). She began her career in healthcare in 2002 and led ATS Health Services as CEO until merging it with a national company in 2007.
