Showpad [SAN FRANCISCO] has hired Jason Holmes as President and Chief Operating Officer. Holmes brings more than 20 years of experience in leading strategies at organizations such as Adobe and Oracle. Most recently, Holmes spent time leading operations at Marketo as the EVP and Chief Operating Officer.
MarineMax, Inc. [CLEARWATER, Fla.] (NYSE: HZO) announced that the Company has promoted Brett McGill to President and Chief Operating Officer. McGill has served as MarineMax’s Chief Operating Officer since October 1, 2016 after serving as Executive Vice President Operations since October 2015 and Executive Vice President of West Operations since May 2012. Prior to these roles, McGill served as one of the Company’s Regional Presidents from May 2006 to 2012. McGill launched his career with MarineMax in 1998 and held positions which included Director of Information Services, as well as Vice President of Information Technology, Service and Parts.
Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate [MADISON, N.J.] announced the appointment of Rich DeNicola to Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, DeNicola has served as the Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales for Better Homes and Gardens Real estate since 2013. DeNicola’s career in real estate began in 2004 when he joined Realogy, serving in a variety of roles within operations and development.
Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] (Nasdaq: MNTA), announced the promotion of Ganesh Kaundinya to Chief Operating Officer. Kaundinya will also continue to serve as Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to founding Momenta, Kaundinya was a member of the MIT faculty. He also served as the Director of Bioinformatics for the Consortium for Functional Glycomics.
Confluence [PITTSBURGH] announced that Todd Moyer has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Moyer joined Confluence in 2012 as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In 2014, he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Global Business Development. Prior to joining Confluence, he served as Executive Vice President of SunGard’s Wealth Management business. During his time at SunGard, Moyer also held several management positions in the areas of product development, operations and client services.
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company [SANDUSKY, Ohio] (NYSE: FUN) announced that Richard Zimmerman, its president and chief operating officer, will succeed Matt Ouimet as chief executive officer effective January 1, 2018. Zimmerman will also be added to the board of directors. He became president of Cedar Fair in 2016, having been named COO in 2011 after serving as an executive vice president since 2007. He also served as vice president and general manager of the Kings Dominion amusement park beginning in 1998. Prior to entering the amusement park industry, Zimmerman served in various financial and strategic planning roles with Paramount Communications, Inc.
PDI [ORANGEBURG, N.Y.] announced the appointment of Kent J. Davies as President and Chief Operating Officer. Kent has over twenty-five years of successful operating, general management and leadership experience, including assignments with name brand multi-nationals such as 3M, Kimberly-Clark and Stryker. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Haemonetics Corporation.
Robins Kaplan LLP® [MINNEAPOLIS] announce that Shonette Gaston has joined the firm as chief operating officer. Gaston joins Robins Kaplan from Covington & Burling LLP. Before joining Covington in 2014, Gaston served as the director of business unit controversies and Washington-area operations at McDermott Will & Emery LLP and, before that, as the firmwide director of practice group management at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
ContraFect Corporation [YONKERS, N.Y.] (NASDAQ: CFRX) announced that it has appointed Lisa Ricciardi as Chief Operating Officer. Ricciardi will continue to serve in her role as a director of ContraFect. She has previously served as Senior Vice President, Global Corporate & Business Development at Foundation Medicine and Senior Vice President, US and International Business Development at Medco Health Solutions, Inc., and was also a Venture Partner at Essex Woodlands Health Ventures. Ricciardi also held several senior management positions at Pfizer. Ricciardi currently serves on the board United Drug Healthcare Group, PLC, and was a prior board member Chimerix Inc. as well as Sepracor Inc.
DreamWorks Feature Animation [GLENDALE, Calif.] announced that Focus Features COO Abhijay Prakash has been named Chief Operating Officer. Prakash most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Focus Features. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President, Film Strategy & Operations at Universal. Prior to Universal, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group and also held other positions in media and worked as a public policy researcher.
Lennox International Inc. [DALLAS] (NYSE: LII) announced Gary Bedard as EVP, President and COO of its Worldwide Refrigeration business, effective October 16, 2017. Bedard succeeds David Moon who is leaving LII at year end to pursue other career opportunities. Bedard has a proven record of success at Lennox International over two decades, including the last ten years as Vice President and General Manager of Lennox Residential business. Prior to joining LII in 1998, Bedard spent eight years at York International in product management and sales leadership roles for commercial applied and unitary systems as well as residential systems.
Arsanis, Inc. [WALTHAM, Mass. & VIENNA] announced that the company has promoted Michael Gray to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Gray had served as Arsanis’ Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer since March 2016. Prior to joining Arsanis, Gray served in various senior leadership roles from 2000 to 2016 at Curis, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRIS). Previously, Gray held positions at Reprogenesis and Ernst & Young, LLP.
