Twitter, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: TWTR) announced that Anthony Noto notified the company that he is resigning from his position as Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer in order to accept the chief executive officer role at another company.
Darden Restaurants, Inc. (DRI) [ORLANDO, Fla.] announced the appointment of Dave George as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position within Darden. George was named President, Olive Garden in 2013 and Executive Vice President, Darden Restaurants in 2016. He joined Darden in 2007 as President, LongHorn Steakhouse where he had served since 2003. Prior to that, George served as Senior Vice President, Operations for LongHorn Steakhouse (2001 – 2003) and Vice President, Operations for The Capital Grille (2000 – 2001).
Frost Bank [SAN ANTONIO] announced the addition of Mike Russell to its executive team. Russell, who is a former corporate technology executive, a longtime management consultant and author of the book “Wrong Until Right”, joins Frost as Group Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Mike will succeed longtime Group Executive Vice President Gary McKnight, who will retire in June.
Global X Management Company LLC (Global X) [NEW YORK] announced the promotion of Luis Berruga to President & COO. Mr. Berruga joined Global X in 2014 as Chief Operating Officer, and in 2015 he took on the additional role of Chief Financial Officer.
Cinemark Holdings, Inc. [PLANO, Texas] (NYSE: CNK) announced that Sean Gamble has been named Chief Operating Officer in addition to his current role as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Gamble has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Cinemark since August 2014. Prior to joining Cinemark, Mr. Gamble worked for the Comcast Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Universal Pictures within NBCUniversal. He also held multiple senior leadership positions within the General Electric Company.
Tiger Cool Express [OVERLAND PARK, Kan.] announced the addition of Don Aiken as Executive Vice President Operations. Prior to joining the Tiger Cool Express team, Mr. Aiken served in a series of intermodal operations and leadership roles at JB Hunt, Schneider National and NFI.
Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (CSI) [ST. PAUL, Minn.] (NASDAQ: CSII) announced that it has appointed Rhonda Robb as its new Chief Operating Officer. Robb formerly served as Vice President and General Manager of the Heart Valve Therapies business at Medtronic. Previously, Robb held additional leadership positions in Medtronic’s Coronary, Peripheral and Cardiac Rhythm businesses. Robb replaces Kevin Kenny who will depart from CSI at the end of January.
Jack in the Box Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: JACK) announced that Marcus Tom will join the company on February 12, 2018, as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Tom will join Jack in the Box with more than 15 years of experience in operations leadership positions, most recently at JAB Beech Inc., where he was Senior Vice President, Operations of its Caribou Coffee brand from January 2017 to December 2017 and Senior Vice President, Operations for its Einstein Bros. Bagels brand from July 2015 to December 2016. From March 2006 to June 2015, Tom held several positions of increasing responsibility with Starbucks Coffee Company. He was Director of Business Operations from January 2014 to June 2015 for all licensed stores in the U.S. and Canada. From May 2012 to December 2013, he was Starbucks’ Regional Director, Licensed Stores in California and West Arizona, and from March 2006 to May 2012, he was a Regional Director with responsibility for Starbucks’ company-operated stores in San Diego and the greater Phoenix area. He also served as a Regional Vice President overseeing 600 stores during a six-month limited-time assignment in 2009. Prior to joining Starbucks, Tom held several positions with YUM Brands International from 1991 to 2006, including being a senior leader for YUM’s franchised business in Central America and the Caribbean.
Cowen Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: COWN) announced that Michael Page recently joined the firm and was named Chief Operating Officer of its international business units; Cowen Execution Services Limited and Cowen International Limited. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Page was a Managing Director in the Equities Division at Jefferies International Ltd. where he was COO of their International Securities Finance business. Mr. Page’s previous experience includes working at Paloma Partners where he was the Director of Paloma’s London entity; acting as the Head of Operations for DLJ International’s London-based securities finance business; as well as holding various securities finance operational roles while working at London Global Securities. Mr. Page began his career working at Salomon Brothers International Ltd., working in both its foreign exchange and securities finance departments.
Dakkota Integrated Systems [BRIGHTON, Mich.] announced the appointment of Mark McCauley to chief operating officer, replacing Brian McDonell, who passed away suddenly in late July 2017. McCauley previously served as Dakkota’s chief financial officer. McCauley joined Dakkota in 2006. Before joining Dakkota held senior financial positions at Intier Automotive Interiors and Versatrim, OEM auto suppliers and subsidiaries of Magna International.
Young Living Essential Oils [LEHI, Utah] named Jared S. Turner as its President and Chief Operating Officer. He served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer for the past two years. Turner joined Young Living in 2012 as associate general counsel over international with a strong background in international business and law. Prior to serving as the Chief Operating Officer, Turner was Young Living’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Young Living, Turner was an international business attorney at Kirton McConkie.
McCann Health [NEW YORK] part of McCann Worldgroup, announced the appointment of Linda Szyper to the new position of Global Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Linda was the Chief Commercial Officer and President of US Operations for Circassia Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Circassia, Ms. Szyper held the role of Chief Development Officer at Publicis Healthcare Group. Prior to this she was President of the Publicis Medical Education Group. Previously, she held senior leadership roles in marketing and commercial development in the pharmaceutical industry, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Serono’s Reproductive and Women’s Health business in the US, and Senior Director, Global Commercialization for Searle’s Cardiovascular Portfolio.
Tweddle Group [CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich.] announced that Tina Stuart has been appointed the company’s Chief Operating Officer and former COO Brian Suszek has assumed the role of Chief Business Development Officer.
Both Ends Believing [SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.] announced that Frank Garrott has joined the operating team as chief operating officer. He served as president and chief executive officer for the Gladney Center for Adoption for the past ten years. Prior to joining Gladney, Garrott enjoyed a 29-year career in financial services in Dallas and New York.
Enssolutions Group Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: ENV.H, OTC Pink Sheets: NSLSF) announced that Jeremy Schoenfelder has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Schoenfelder is the founder and President of Sienna Partners, LLC. He previously served as Vice President of Project Development for Walton Development & Management.
Kestra Financial, Inc. [AUSTIN, Texas] announced that it has hired Kris Chester as Chief Operating Officer. Chester has spent the past 18 years at Wells Fargo Bank. Most recently she served as Executive Vice President, Head of Treasury Management Implementation & Delivery, a position she held since 2012.
