Blackstone [NEW YORK] (NYSE: BX) announced that Tony James, President and Chief Operating Officer, will be handing over day-to-day management of the firm to Jon Gray, Global Head of Real Estate. Mr. Gray will become President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gray came to Blackstone in 1992 straight out of college.
SunTrust Banks, Inc. [ATLANTA] (NYSE: STI) announced that Mark Chancy, vice chairman and head of the Consumer Segment, and Beau Cummins, corporate executive vice president and head of the Wholesale Segment, will become co-chief operating officers. Chancy will add oversight of Marketing and Data & Analytics and Cummins will add oversight of the SunTrust Efficiency Office and Procurement.
Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. [WILMINGTON, Mass.] (NYSE: CRL) announced that Dr. Davide Molho, Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Global Research Models & Services, Safety Assessment and Biologics, will become President and Chief Operating Officer of Charles River, and will add Discovery Services to his responsibilities. Dr. Davide Molho joined Charles River in our Italian operations in 1999 and was promoted to Director of Operations for Research Models and Services (RMS) Italy in 2002. In 2005, his role was expanded to include French RMS operations and in 2007, he became Corporate Vice President, European Research Models and Services, with responsibility for all European RMS operations. In July 2009, Dr. Molho was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, North American & European Research Models and Services, and was promoted to Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Global Research Models and Services in December 2010. Dr. Molho subsequently assumed the role of Corporate Executive Vice President and President, North American Operations in October 2011 and then Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Global Research Models & Services, Safety Assessment and Biologics in December 2013.
TETRA Technologies, Inc. [THE WOODLANDS, Texas] (NYSE: TTI) announced the appointment of Brady M. Murphy as President and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Mr. Murphy served as Chief Executive Officer for Paradigm Group B.V. Prior to this role, he served as part of the Halliburton Company executive management team in the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. His previous executive positions at Halliburton Company included: Senior Vice President Europe/Sub-Saharan Africa Region; Vice President Sperry Drilling Services; Vice President of Supply Chain and Management Systems; Vice President of Global Manufacturing; and Director, Product Sales Division.
Cinergy Entertainment Group [DALLAS] announced the appointment of Darek Heath as new Chief Operating Officer. Darek Heath started at Cinergy Entertainment as the Vice President of Operations. Darek Heath spent 13 years at Studio Movie Grill, where he gained field experience as a General Manager and quickly worked to become the Director of Operations. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Development from 2006 to 2012 before becoming Vice President of Training and Recruiting in January 2013. He joined Dickey’s Barbecue as Vice President of Training, quickly becoming the Vice President of Operations. He joined Cinergy Entertainment Group in August 2016 as the Vice President of Operations.
MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center [LAGUNA HILLS, Calif.] appointed Ryan Olsen as Chief Operating Officer. He replaces Cheryl Jacob who retired in January after 37 years with MemorialCare in various leadership positions. Prior to his new position, Olsen served since 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Cedars Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute. He previously was Vice President of Operations for St. Jude Medical Center Fullerton; a Chief Administrative Officer at UC Irvine Health; and a Manager at Cedars Sinai Oschin Cancer Institute.
Copper Mountain Mining Corporation [VANCOUVER] (TSX: CMMC) announced the appointment of Don Strickland as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Company. Strickland was General Manager and Vice President of the Copper Mountain Mine since April 2013. Mr. Strickland previously worked with Placer Dome, Barrick Gold Corp and Yukon Zinc at operations in Canada and internationally.
UroGen Pharma Ltd. [RA’ANANA, Israel and NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: URGN) announced the appointment of Stephen Mullennix as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Mullennix previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations for SolarReserve, LLC. Prior to SolarReserve, Mr. Mullennix served as a Managing Director at US Renewables Group, Associate Vice President at AECOM Technology Company, and a Co-Founder of Ennix Incorporated.
Gerber Technology [TOLLAND, Conn.] announced the hiring of Scott Schinlever, as president and chief operating officer leading its Automation Solutions business. Schinlever joins Gerber from EFI, where he was senior vice president and general manager of EFI’s inkjet business. Scott joined EFI in 2005 with their strategic acquisition of VUTEk, where he had been vice president of marketing since 2001.
The Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) [Washington, DC] announced the addition of Peg Knox as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to joining DCIIA, Peg Knox was the global retirement plans manager at Bechtel Global Corporation. Previously she had served as Bechtel’s treasurer.
Claim Post Resources Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: CPS) announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) D. Archibald as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Archibald has been involved in a variety of frac sand operations located in the states of Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin in the United States and in the province of Alberta in Canada.
Ucore Rare Metals Inc. [HALIFAX, Nova Scotia] (TSX-V: UCU, OTCQX: UURAF) announced the appointment of Michael Schrider to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Schrider has more than 27 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering and managing complex industrial projects. Mike has been a consultant to Ucore since December of 2015 and has been instrumental in engineering and logistics planning for the Company since then. In August of 2016 he joined Ucore full time as Vice President of Operations focusing on commercial production opportunities for the Company.
Ranker [LOS ANGELES] appointed Greg Morrow as Chief Operations Officer. Morrow was former SVP Digital at The Enthusiast Network (TEN). He founded Grind Networks, which was acquired by TEN in October 2010. Prior to that, he led product strategy and marketing for Yahoo! Music.
ARHT Media Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: ART) announced the appointment of Rick Blum as the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Blum held the position of VP and CFO of a high growth TSE 300 listed company. Blum purchased RG Henderson, a parts distribution and service Company in May of 2000. He significantly grew topline revenue and profitability and in February of 2013 sold the company to a private equity firm. The private equity firm completed a number of subsequent acquisitions in the Canadian market and Rick continued as the President of a newly formed company, Heritage Food Service Group of Canada Limited. Rick was responsible for building the national parts distribution division, Heritage Parts Canada.
