SilverBow Resources, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NYSE: SBOW) announced the appointment of Steven W. Adam as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is succeeding Robert J. Banks who is leaving the Company. Steve Adam was previously the Senior Vice President of Operations of Sanchez Oil and Gas, where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility from April 2013 to July 2017. His resource management experiences have been with Occidental Petroleum and most recently with Sanchez Oil & Gas.
Emerson [ST. LOUIS] (NYSE: EMR) announced the retirement of Chief Operating Officer Ed Purvis, effective December 31, 2017. Steve Pelch, currently executive vice president of organization planning and development, will succeed Purvis as executive vice president and COO of the company, effective January 1, 2018. He began his career as an applications engineer in our Automation Solutions business and then spent 17 years in a variety of business unit leadership roles. For the last 13 years, he has held corporate roles in strategic planning, human resources and organizational planning and development.
NetDocuments [SALT LAKE CITY & SANTA MONICA, Calif.] announced Josh Baxter has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. Baxter previously served as Executive Vice President of Customer Success & Services at Ivanti.
Elliptic Labs [SAN FRANCISCO & OSLO, Norway & SHANGHAI] announced the appointment of Scott Deutsch as COO. Deutsch has been in the high-tech industry for 25-plus years, primarily in management roles, where he recently spent more than three years at Synaptics. Before that, he was vice president of worldwide sales at security solutions supplier AuthenTec. Deutsch’s earlier positions include being vice president of worldwide sales at Alereon, vice president of sales and marketing for SanDisk’s OEM Consumer Products Division and vice president of worldwide sales at M-Systems. Before that, he held key sales roles at network processor pioneer MMC Networks and Cypress Semiconductor.
Royal Contract Lighting [TAUNTON, Mass.] announced the appointment of Eugene F. Tsui to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he was the General Manager of LASVIT (Shanghai) Ltd.
Qubole [SANTA CLARA, CA] announced the appointment of Kevin Kennedy as Chief Operating Officer. Kennedy has a diverse background having held executive positions leading sales, services and support, as well as marketing, product management and development at PeopleSoft, Oracle and Ooyala.
NorthState [HIGH POINT, N.C.] announced that Jeff Chapman is joining the company as Executive Vice President, Operations. Chapman joins NorthState from Bridgepoint Communications Inc., where he served as Chief Executive Officer since February 2015. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President for Construction and Engineering at FiberLight. He was previously a founding member and Vice President, Operations of PEG Bandwidth. Chapman succeeds current Executive Vice President, COO Nick Kottyan, who is leaving the company.
Nerium International [ADDISON, Texas] announced Christi Clinger as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer. Christi has 25 years of leadership experience with Fortune 500 companies including PepsiCo, 7-Eleven, Brinks, Target, and with direct sales companies including Mannatech and Mary Kay.
ktMINE [CHICAGO] announced that it has appointed John Wiora as Chief Operating Officer. Wiora started at ktMINE in 2010 as an Expert Analyst. Prior to his recent appointment as COO, he was ktMINE’s Director of Operations.
Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [CARLSBAD, Calif.] (NASDAQ: IONS) announced that Brett P. Monia, a founder of Ionis, and head of drug discovery and the inotersen program, will become chief operating officer. B. Lynne Parshall, who has been with Ionis for 27 years, will become senior strategic advisor to Ionis and remain a member of the board of directors of Ionis and Akcea.
AlloSource [CENTENNIAL, Colo.] announced the appointment of Bob Lay as Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Bob also served AlloSource as the Director of Cost Accounting and Vice President, Operations. Prior to his time at AlloSource, he held leadership roles at both startups and large companies.
Brandmuscle [CHICAGO] has hired Scott Weeren as Chief Operating Officer. Formerly, he served as the COO of Fishbowl. Prior to Fishbowl, Weeren served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales for Aptara. He has also worked at SAP, Oracle, and PWC.
Terafina Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Ashwin Goyal is the company’s new President and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, he served for almost two years as the founding President of BankSight, Inc. Prior to BankSight, Ashwin served for nine years as Group Vice President in Oracle’s financial services division. Before joining Oracle in 2006, Ashwin was Vice President and General Manager of Siebel’s Financial Services products business.
GAIN Capital Holdings, Inc. [BEDMINSTER, N.J.] (NYSE: GCAP) announced that Alastair Hine was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Hine joins GAIN Capital from IG Group, where he spent the last 18 years in senior leadership roles in technology, marketing and operations, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and, most recently, Chief Innovation Officer.
June20 [HAYWARD, Calif.] announced that Jason Seed has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Seed joins June20 from Kounta, Pty Ltd., where he served as president. Before that, he served as CEO of Shortcuts Software. Prior to Kounta, Pty Ltd. and Shortcuts Software, Seed co-founded two startups.
Ben Bridge Jeweler [SEATTLE] announced that Lisa Bridge has been appointed as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Lisa Bridge launched her own collection named Lisa Bridge Collection in 2015. Lisa also spent the last seven years as Vice President of Education of the company.
