BNY Mellon’s Pershing [JERSEY CITY, N.J.] announced that Jim Crowley has been named the company’s new chief operating officer. During his tenure at the firm, Crowley has served in various operations areas, including a role at the New York Stock Exchange before leading the marketing and business development efforts for Pershing’s fixed income business. Subsequently, he moved to relationship management and most recently served as the company’s chief relationship officer.
Unit Corporation [ULSA, Okla] (NYSE: UNT) announced that David T. Merrill, the company’s Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Merrill will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company and its operating segments. Merrill will continue to serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer until a replacement is named. Merrill joined the company in August 2003 and served as its Vice President of Finance until February 2004 when he was elected to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. In May 2012, he was promoted to Senior Vice President.
TechBridge [ATLANTA] is pleased to announce Julio Carrillo has joined as its new chief operating officer (COO). Prior to joining TechBridge, Carrillo was executive vice president & COO with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta for 11 years.
EMC Insurance Group Inc. [DES MOINES, Iowa] (NASDAQ: EMCI) announced today that Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kevin Hovick will retire on January 2, 2018.
San Antonio’s Rebecca Creek Distillery [SAN ANTONIO] has appointed Howard Jeffery, former Pernod Ricard executive as its new chief operating officer (COO). Before joining Rebecca Creek, he served as a general manager and vice president for Pernod Ricard. Jeffery also spent 12 years working for Allied Domecq. He held senior positions in both the U.S. and the U.K., including vice president of sales and vice president of commercial best practices in the U.S., and business group director and trade marketing director in the U.K. Prior to that, Jeffery held several sales and marketing roles in the U.K. beer industry with Grand Metropolitan Brewing and Bass Brewers.
