Fulton Financial Corporation [LANCASTER, PA] (NASDAQ: FULT) announced that Philmer H. Rohrbaugh has been named to the newly created position of senior executive vice president/chief operating officer. Rohrbaugh currently serves as senior executive vice president/chief risk officer, a position he has held since he joined the company in 2012.
CCRM (Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine [DENVER] has named Brian K. Shelton as network chief operating officer (COO). Shelton comes to CCRM from Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) where he was the vice president of operations.
Ascend Performance Materials [HOUSTON] announced the appointment of Phil McDivitt to president and chief operating officer. McDivitt joined Ascend last April and served as president of the company’s nylon business before the promotion. Prior to joining Ascend, he served in various operations and commercial positions at Celanese Corp. Beginning in 2012, he served as vice president and general manager of Celanese’s engineered materials business, which is an industry leader in acetal polymers, liquid crystal polymers, long fiber reinforced thermoplastics and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
Bioniz Therapeutics, Inc. [IRVINE, Calif.] announced that it has appointed Fredrik Wiklund as its Chief Operating Officer. Wiklund joins Bioniz from Celladon Corporation where he served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer as the company merged with Eiger Biopharmaceuticals. Prior to Celladon, Fred served as Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Tercica, Inc. Previously, Fred was an investment banker with Lehman Brothers.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation [BETHESDA, Md.] announced the appointment of Marc Ginsky as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He joins the Foundation from Covance, where he served as the vice president and general manager of the Market Access Services division since 2007. Prior to that, he worked in Covance’s legal department in roles of increasing responsibility from 1998 to 2006, supporting all aspects of the drug development and market access businesses of the company. Before joining Covance, Marc was a corporate attorney in private practice for 10 years.
Brightstar Corp. [MIAMI] announced that Alan Eland has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. He joins Brightstar from IGT Corporation (formerly GTECH S.p.A.), where he held several global and regional leadership roles over a 31-year career. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Services. Additionally, he previously served as COO of GTECH Americas, overseeing operations in North America and Latin America.
Exude, Inc. [PHILADELPHIA] announced the hire of David DiStefano as President and COO. Prior to joining Exude, David was the President and CEO of Richardson. Under his leadership, He previously worked as Chief Revenue Officer for PeopleLinx, a technology firm which supports sales professionals in effectively leveraging social media.
NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes LLC [BELOIT, Wis.] announced that Stephen Merrick has joined s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position with the company. He comes to NorthStar from Baxter International, where he was vice president, international marketing for the company’s Hospital Products business. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president and president-international commercial operations for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb for 17 years, holding a series of increasingly responsible positions around the world. He began his career with Ely Lilly and Company.
KORE [ATLANTA & BOSTON] announced the appointment of Mike Coffey as Chief Operating Officer who was employed by Wyless, a recent acquisition. For the past eight years, Mike has leveraged an early background in software development and networking to successfully lead two technology enabled companies as CEO, Wyless and RISI. Earlier in his career, Mike was the technology executive at CMP Media responsible for an online technology platform driving a time of extensive growth, and previously Mike served as a managing consultant for eCommerce software provider ATG.
RSI Communities LLC [NEWPORT BEACH, CA], an affiliate of RSI Holding LLC, announced that John Bohnen has been appointed chief operating officer. Bohnen previously served in leadership positions at Cal Atlantic Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, KB Homes and the United States Army. Most recently, he was the Austin Division President for Cal Atlantic Homes and prior to that he was the Division President for Standard Pacific Homes. He served as a Captain in the United States Army for five years after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
iMiller Public Relations (iMPR) [MAMARONECK, NY] announced the appointment of Jeffrey A. Sesol as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Sesol holds over 20 years’ experience in the Information Technology sector, encompassing various development, design and technical leadership roles for several companies.
Carl Warren & Company [PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA] announced that Jeanette Hernandez has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Jeanette joins Carl Warren after six years as the Vice President/Director of Claims Operations at State Auto Insurance.
Optomec [ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.] announced that Doug Welter, former Vice President and General Manager at Phillips Semiconductor (now NXP N.V.), has assumed responsibilities in the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer at Optomec. Welter spent more than 25 years in the semiconductor industry with companies including Phillips and Motorola.
Presidio Bank [SAN FRANCISCO] (OTCBB: PDOB) announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Sherry Price will be retiring this month. She joined Presidio in 2007, nine months after the Bank opened for business. Replacing Ms. Price as Chief Operating Officer will be Dave Meshriy, a veteran banking executive who joins Presidio Bank from Silicon Valley Bank where he served as Bank Secrecy Act Officer as well as head of Compliance and Fraud Detection. From 2009-2013 Mr. Meshriy served as Head of Banking Operations for SVB. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Greater Bay Bancorp as Head of Operations after starting his banking career at Bank of America, where he worked for 25 years.
Jacobson Consulting Applications (JCA) [NEW YORK] announced the promotion of Matt Cooper, COO, to President and COO of JCA. Before joining JCA, Cooper served as the Director of Ticketing Services for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA. He played an integral role in the creation of Ticket Philadelphia, a joint venture of the Kimmel Center and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Prior to that, Cooper was the Ticket Operations Manager for Carnegie Hall in New York, NY.
TD Artisan Spirits [LAKE BLUFF, Ill.] announced the appointment of David Ballew as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the success of the joint venture recently formed by Terlato Artisan Spirits and Distell USA. David brings more than 30 years of experience in the beverage industry, most recently as senior vice president of sales for the Diageo Moët Hennessy portfolio at Glazer’s Inc., in Dallas, TX. Before joining the distributor side of the business, he started the national off-premise chain sales team at Moet Hennessy USA, where he also ran sales for the Southwest region and Florida. He began his career in wine, working in sales at Gallo, Heublein and Trinchero.
Epizyme, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] (NASDAQ: EPZM) announced that it has expanded its senior leadership team with the addition of Matthew Ros, who joins the company as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Ros comes to Epizyme from Sanofi, where he was most recently Chief Operating Officer/Global Head of the Oncology Business Unit. Prior to this role, Mr. Ros served in Genzyme’s Rare Disease business, leading its second largest franchise in Pompe Disease as its Vice President and Franchise head.
RightBrain Networks [ANN ARBOR, MI] announced that Hemant Kishan has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to joining the company in May of 2015 as Vice President of Client Engagement, Kishan was the Director of Emerging Technology for General Motors. Kishan’s previous experience also includes serving as early employee and eventual Vice President at Sapient and Senior Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation.
The Joint Corp. [SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.] (NASDAQ: JYNT) announced the appointment of Peter Holt as chief operating officer. Holt was most recently president and chief executive officer of Tasti D-Lite & Planet Smoothie. He has also served as chief operating officer of 24seven Vending (U.S), where he launched its franchise system in the U.S., and as executive vice president of international for Mail Boxes Etc. and vice president of international for I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt and Java Coast Fine Coffees.
First Sound Bank [SEATTLE] (OTCBB: FSWA) announced that Jon C. Shelton, who has been serving as the bank’s executive vice president and chief credit officer, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Shelton, who has over 46 years in community banking, began his career in 1969 with First National Bank of Oregon in Portland. He then spent 19 years with Washington Trust Bank in Spokane, while serving as chief lending officer and senior vice president and manager of the bank’s Commercial Banking Division. In 1997, Shelton joined Frontier Bank—headquartered in Everett, Washington— where he was eventually promoted to senior vice president and manager of the bank’s Western Region. Shelton joined First Sound Bank in January of 2012.
