Alaska Air Group, Inc. [SEATTLE] announced the promotion of Ben Minicucci as president and chief operating officer of Alaska Airlines. Minicucci has been Alaska’s chief operating officer and executive vice president since December 2008. Previously, he served as vice president of Seattle operations, where he led the performance of the airline’s largest hub. Minicucci joined the company in 2004 as staff vice president of maintenance and engineering. Minicucci joined Alaska from Air Canada, following 14 years in the Canadian Armed Forces.
ASSIA, Inc. [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced that David K. Raun has been named President and COO. Raun has also joined ASSIA’s board as an observer. Previously Raun was President and CEO of PLX. PLX was acquired by Avago Technologies (now Broadcom) in 2014. He remained with Avago as GM/VP until the integration was complete in 2015.
Spirox, Inc. [MENLO PARK, Calif.] announced the appointment of Neil Hattangadi, M.D., as president and chief operating officer. Dr. Hattangadi most recently served as Business Leader, Peripheral Vascular at Royal Philips. Dr. Hattangadi served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Peripheral Vascular and Global Clinical Affairs at Volcano Corporation. Previously, he was a healthcare investor at hedge funds including SAC Capital and Citadel Asset Management. Dr. Hattangadi was an executive at FoxHollow Technologies and ev3, Inc., and served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Source Refrigeration & HVAC [ANAHEIM, Calif.] announced that Andrew Mandell has been named as Chief Operating Officer. Andy’s prior role was as President of ValleyCrest Group. In his 15 years with ValleyCrest he also served as Chief Executive Officer of Landscape Development, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his work at ValleyCrest, Andy held leadership positions with Fox Cable Networks, Universal Studios, ITT Sheraton, the Walt Disney Company and Pepsico.
The Medicines Company [PARSIPPANY, N.J.] (NASDAQ: MDCO) announced the appointment of Tony Kingsley as President and Chief Operating Officer. Before joining The Medicines Company, Mr. Kingsley was Executive Vice President, Global Commercial Operations at Biogen. Prior to Biogen, Mr. Kingsley served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Gynecological Surgical Products business at Hologic, Inc., and as Division President, Diagnostic Products, at Cytyc Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kingsley was a Partner at McKinsey & Company focusing on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
ComRent International [UPPER MARLBORO, Md.] announced that Lynn Villard has been named chief financial and chief operating officer. Villard joins ComRent from Kiewit Construction, where he served as senior vice president.
Capital Insurance Group® (CIG®) [MONTEREY, Calif.] promoted Andrew Doll to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer after his appointment to Vice President and Chief Actuary nearly a year ago. Doll began his insurance career as an Actuarial Analyst in 1990 and transitioned to a Midwestern-based national insurance company in 1992 to become a Senior Actuarial Analyst. After joining a Wisconsin-based regional property and casualty insurance provider in 1995, he eventually became Assistant Vice President of Specialty Lines Underwriting and later Vice President and Chief Actuary. Doll has since held executive management positions for national insurance carriers.
Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NYSE: FET) announced the promotion of Prady Iyyanki to the office of President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Iyyanki has served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2014. Before joining Forum, he had 17 years of experience with General Electric managing various manufacturing businesses with global responsibilities.
