The Hershey Company [HERSHEY, Pa.] (NYSE: HSY) announced that Michele Buck has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Buck previously was President, North America. Buck has also served as the company’s Senior Vice President, Chief Growth Officer and Senior Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Hershey in 2005, Buck served 17 years at Kraft/Nabisco in numerous senior positions and at the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo. Buck serves on the Board of Directors at New York Life.
Hormel Foods Corporation [AUSTIN, Minn.] (NYSE: HRL) announced the appointment of Michael J. Guanella as chief operating officer of Justin’s. Guanella is currently a senior brand manager at Hormel Foods responsible for Skippy® peanut butter. Prior to joining Hormel Foods, he spent time in information technology leadership positions both in retail and manufacturing, including tenure as a consultant for Deloitte and Touche.
New York Life [NEW YORK] announced that Kirk Lehneis has been appointed chief operating officer of New York Life Investment Management (“NYLIM”), the investment management arm of New York Life Insurance Company. Mr. Lehneis was elected a senior managing director of the company in September 2015. Mr. Lehneis joined New York Life in 2005 and progressed through a series of senior executive product development roles with MainStay Investments. Prior to joining New York Life Investments, Mr. Lehneis progressed through senior roles with GivingCapital, Inc., including Director of Client Service and Product Development. He began his career with a focus in sales and marketing with Unisys Corp. and Beenz.com, Inc.
Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. [BOULDER, Colo.] (NYSE: ZAYO) announced that co-Chief Operating Officer Chris Morley is being named Chief Operating Officer of Zayo Group, while co-COO and co-founder Matt Erickson will depart Zayo Group in late July.
iRobot Corp. [BEDFORD, Mass.] (NASDAQ: IRBT) announced that it has appointed Christian Cerda as chief operating officer (COO). Cerda previously served as executive vice president and general manager of iRobot’s Home Robots business unit. Prior to iRobot, Cerda was general manager and vice president of Sales and Marketing at Whirlpool Corporation. Previously, he served in senior positions at The Boston Consulting Group and Procter & Gamble Co.
ElectriCities [RALEIGH, N.C.] announced that it has named Matthew E. Schull Chief Operating Officer. Schull joined ElectriCities in 2003. He served as NCMPA1 Manager of Power Supply before being named Vice President of NCMPA1 in 2009. He previously worked at Progress Energy, Wisconsin Energy Corporation, and Madison Gas & Electric Company.
G5 [BEND, Ore.] announced the appointment of Patrick Davidson as Chief Operating Officer. He has held leadership roles in some of Silicon Valley’s most successful software companies, including Oracle and Vlocity, as well as serving as Founder and President of Wanaka Properties, LLC.
Amazing Lash Studio [SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.] announced the appointment of Heather Elrod to Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Ms. Elrod was the founder of SkinPhD, Inc. With the appointment of Ms. Elrod, interim co-COOs Dawn Weiss and Ron DaVella will move to Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively.

Mr. Nicholson has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Nektar since 2007. Prior to joining Nektar, Mr. Nicholson served in a number of leadership roles at Bayer Schering Pharma AG, including Vice President, Corporate Development and Treasurer of Schering Berlin Inc., President of Schering Berlin Insurance Company, President of Bayer Pharma Chemicals Inc., and President of Schering Berlin Capital Corporation.
