Eldorado Resorts, Inc. (RENO, Nev.) (NASDAQ: ERI) announced that Anthony L. Carano, who has served as Executive Vice President of Operations since August 2016, has been named Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. Carano has served as General Counsel and Secretary to the Company since 2014. Prior to joining Eldorado Resorts, Carano was an attorney at the Nevada law firm of McDonald Carano Wilson, LLP.
Cable One, Inc. [PHOENIX] (NYSE: CABO) announced that it appointed Michael E. Bowker as Chief Operating Officer. In his previous role as Senior Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer since June 2014, Bowker oversaw sales and marketing strategy, and all aspects of sales activity throughout Cable ONE, including advertising, residential and commercial sales. Bowker joined Cable ONE in 1999.
Univar Inc. [DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.] (NYSE: UNVR) has appointed David C. Jukes as president & chief operating officer. As a 14-year Univar veteran, Jukes most recently served as executive vice president and president, USA & Latin America. Since joining Univar in 2002, Jukes has held various roles with increasing responsibility. This included leading the reorganization of Univar’s EMEA business. Prior to Univar, Jukes was senior vice president of global sales, marketing and industry relations for Omnexus.
McLarens [ATLANTA] announced the promotion of Steve Whitmarsh to Chief Operating Officer, North America. Steve first joined McLarens in 2004 to establish and manage the midwestern United States. He was later promoted to Director – USA & Canada and has over 20 years of industry experience.
Threshold Enterprises, Ltd. [SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif.] announced the hiring of Tom Grillea to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Threshold Enterprises, Grillea served as a C-Level Officer and Divisional President for United Natural Foods Inc. Prior to his tenure at UNFI, he held positions with Whole Foods Market’s Northeast and North Atlantic regions in the capacity of Director of Whole Body. Grillea also previously served in senior management for the Vitamin Shoppe.
Auxilio, Inc. [MISSION VIEJO, Calif.] (NYSE MKT: AUXO) announced that it has appointed Michael G. Mathews as Chief Operation Officer (COO). Mathews assumes the role of COO for Auxilio in addition to his responsibilities as President, COO and Co-founder of CynergisTek, a wholly owned subsidiary of Auxilio, where he has managed the day-to-day and operational functions of the company for more than a decade. Prior to CynergisTek, Mathews was the first Chief Security Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System. Prior to that, he was Master Security Architect for Exodus Communications. Before joining Exodus, Mathews was Senior Network Engineer for TRW Space & Defense.
ORHub, Inc. [NEWPORT BEACH, CA] (OTC: ORHB) announced the appointment of Cyrus Olsen as the Company’s new chief operating officer. Olsen has been in an advisory role since the inception of ORHub. A veteran of building business IT solutions, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud infrastructures, Olsen’s background includes six years as an OR and ER tech. He worked with Microsoft in its Amalga team as an external consultant. Olsen brings experience in health care, process engineering, time-driven activity-based cost [TDABC] modeling, analytics, and organizational infrastructure implementation to drive scaling out ORHub’s organization in support of deployment roadmaps.
Aligned Telehealth, Inc. [CALABASAS, Calif.] announced the appointment of Dan Castillo as the company’s president and chief operating officer. Most recently, Castillo was CEO of LA County-USC Medical Center. He previously was a principal consultant with Health Management Associates (HMA). Prior to HMA, Dan served as CEO of a hospital consortium in Orange County, Calif.
Chan Zuckerberg Biohub [SAN FRANCISCO] announced Gajus Worthington has joined its management team as chief operating officer, bringing his more than 17 years of executive management experience in the life science sector to the non-profit, medical research organization. Worthington was a co-founder of Fluidigm Corporation and served as President and CEO from 1999 to 2016. Prior to Fluidigm, he held a variety of engineering, marketing and management positions at Actel Corporation.
