Tarsus Entertainment [IRVINE, CA] announced that John A. Cora has been named Chief Executive Officer effective March 26, 2018. Cora is a 30-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company. Cora was Vice President of Resort Development. Prior to this position, Cora also served as Vice President of Theme Park Operations for Disneyland. Cora recently served as President and CEO of Palace Entertainment. Additionally, Cora is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of VisionMaker Worldwide and Cora Global Concepts.
CTIS, Inc. [ROCKVILLE, MD] announced the promotion of Sudhir Raju to President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Raju will serve as the Principal Investigator for the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program’s Enterprise System program.
Mango Capital, Inc. [FAR HILLS, NJ] (OTC: MCAP) has named Lawrence Brean as Chief Operating Officer.
TaskUs [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced it has appointed Joe Buggy to Chief Operating Officer. Buggy brings 30 plus years of leadership excellence from senior-level roles in client services, consulting, technology and customer experience.
Whole Oceans [PORTLAND, ME] announced that Jason Mitchell has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Mitchell has held a variety of positions at General Dynamics, most recently as Director of Ground Assembly at Bath Iron Works. Mitchell was founder and co-owner of San Diego-based Helms Brewing Company which he sold in 2017.
Hecla Mining Company [COEUR D’ALENE, ID] (NYSE: HL) announced that Larry Radford has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company, a promotion from his previous role of Senior Vice President – Operations. Radford joined Hecla in 2011 and has over 35 of experience in the mining industry.
RJ Lee Group [MONROEVILLE, PA] announced David R. Riley as the company’s newly appointed Chief Operating Officer. For five years prior to joining RJ Lee Group, Riley served as a P&L Division President of a Fortune 50 Corporation. Prior to that role, Riley served as the Executive Manager of the Nuclear Engineering and Operations Department of the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory for six years.
Splacer [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Gabi Peles as Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Splacer, Peles lead the transformation of Eyeview as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Product Officer.
Saga Communications, Inc. [GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI] (NYSE American: SGA) announced that its Chief Operating Officer, Warren Lada, will retire at the end of June, 2018. Prior to his current position as Chief Operating Officer, Lada served as President and General Manager for Saga radio station WAQY, Rock 102. Lada’s career encompasses 42 years, exclusively in the radio industry.
OAG [BOSTON, MA] announced the addition of Ben Hollins as Chief Operating Officer. Hollins was a key part of the team at Wood Mackenzie, ahead of its acquisition by Verisk Analytics. Hollins’ tenure at Wood Mackenzie culminated in a role on the Global Executive and Chairman of the EMEA business.
Seritage Growth Properties [NEW YORK] (NYSE: SRG) announced that Kenneth T. Lombard has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective on May 20, 2018. With this appointment, Lombard resigned from the Company’s Board of Trustees, on which he has served since 2015. Most recently, Lombard was President of MacFarlane Partners. Prior to joining MacFarlane Partners in 2016, Lombard served as vice chairman, partner and head of investments for Capri Capital Partners. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2008, Lombard served as President of Starbucks Entertainment and helped launch Johnson Development Corporation in 1992, where he spent 12 years as the President and Partner.
FMC Corporation [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (NYSE: FMC) announced that, effective June 1, 2018, Mark Douglas, president of FMC Agricultural Solutions, has been appointed president and chief operating officer.
2U, Inc. [LANHAM, MD] (NASDAQ: TWOU) announced that Mark Chernis, who has served on the company’s board since 2009, will become its new chief operating officer. Chernis joins 2U from Pearson where he served as senior vice president of strategic partnerships and investments. Prior to Pearson, Chernis served as the president and chief operating officer of SchoolNet, which was acquired by Pearson in 2011. Before SchoolNet, Chernis was with Princeton Review serving as its president. Chernis has stepped down from 2U’s board in order to take on his new role as 2U COO.
ENSERVCO Corporation [DENVER, CO] (NYSE: ENSV) announced the appointment of Kevin C. Kersting to the new position of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining ENSERVCO, Kersting held several senior positions at CAP Logistics.
JetBlue Airways Corp. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: JBLU) announced it has named Joanna Geraghty to president and chief operating officer. Geraghty joined JetBlue in 2005 and was most recently executive vice president, customer experience. Geraghty served as executive vice president, chief people officer from 2010-2014 and was previously the airline’s vice president and associate general counsel and director of litigation and regulatory affairs. Geraghty is president of the JetBlue Foundation and chairperson of the board of Concern Worldwide. Prior to joining JetBlue Geraghty was a partner at a New York law firm.
