Fortress Building Products [GARLAND, TX] announced that Mike Walsh has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Walsh has spent most of the past 15 years in various leadership roles including Director of Marketing, VP of Marketing & New Product Development and Senior Vice President. Walsh will work on transitioning the role from current COO, Gary Greer, who is relocating to pursue a new opportunity.
Servotronics, Inc. [ELMA, NY] (NYSE AMERICAN: SVT) announced the promotion of James “Jim” Takacs to Chief Operating Officer. Takacs is a lifelong employee of Servotronics, having joined the Company in 1987. Takacs previously held positions of increasing responsibility including Test Technician, Project Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and Senior Vice President of Operations.
DC Systems, Inc. [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced the addition of Kenneth Munson as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Munson was CEO of Sunverge Energy, a startup he co-founded in 2009.
Ultra Petroleum Corp. [HOUSTON, TX] (NASDAQ: UPL) announced that Jay Stratton has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer. Stratton assumes the chief operations role from Ultra’s Interim Chief Executive Officer Brad Johnson, who previously held this position as Senior Vice President, Operations. Stratton most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Jagged Peak Energy. Prior to joining Jagged Peak, Stratton served as Chief Operating Officer of Permian Resources. Stratton also previously served as District Manager for Permian Basin and Mid-Continent Assets for Chesapeake Energy.
Polar Air Cargo Worldwide, Inc. [PURCHASE, NY] announced the appointment of Lars Winkelbauer as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective July 1, 2018. Winkelbauer succeeds Robert Hyslop, who is moving from Polar to rejoin DHL Express as Senior Vice President Global Aviation, based in Plantation, Florida. Winkelbauer joined DHL Asia Pacific in 2014 as its Vice President, Aviation, Network Planning and Control. Prior to joining DHL, Winkelbauer served as Polar’s Vice President for Marketing, Revenue Management and Network Planning.
Kia Motors America [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Michael Cole to the role of chief operating officer and executive vice president.
Mosaic Acquisition Corp. [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Ed Albert as Chief Operating Officer. Albert is a Managing Director of the Credit Funds Business at Fortress. Albert left Fortress in 2009 to successfully head the NY special situations business at Macquarie Bank USA and returned to Fortress in 2011. Prior to joining Fortress in 2007, Albert was a Managing Director at Milestone Capital and a Director with Giuliani Capital Advisors. Albert began his career working for the CFO of Marriott International in the Company’s Financial Planning and Analysis Group.
Ivanti® [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] announced that it has appointed Scott Sorensen to the newly created position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Sorensen joins Ivanti from Sorenson Holdings where he was Chief Executive Officer, having previously served as COO and CFO. Scott was also a member of the Board of Directors. Sorensen also worked in leadership roles at companies such as Hillebrand, Huntsman, Westinghouse/CBS, and McKinsey & Company.
