Fluence Bioengineering Inc. [AUSTIN, TX] announced David Cohen has joined Fluence as chief operating officer. Cohen has extensive leadership experience in the lighting industry and has held roles as CEO, general manager, COO, executive vice president and managing director while living in China, Italy, the Netherlands and the U.K. Cohen’s most recent position was general manager and CEO of Schréder Lighting U.S.A.
EWTN Global Catholic Network [IRONDALE, AL] has named Daniel A. Burke to the post of President and Chief Operating Officer of EWTN News, Inc. effective Aug. 17, 2018. Burke joined EWTN as part of the Network’s acquisition of the National Catholic Register in 2011.
Alorica Inc. [IRVINE, CA] has announced Greg Haller as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Alorica, Haller was with the telecommunications giant Verizon Wireless for 29 years, where he served in various senior leadership roles, such as President of the Western Area as well as President of Enterprise and Government Markets.
Marathon Gold Corporation [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: MOZ) announced the appointment of Robbert Borst as Chief Operating Officer effective August 1, 2018. Borst successfully managed the company’s initial Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Valentine Lake Gold Camp.
Emerson [ST. LOUIS, MO] (NYSE: EMR) announced that Edward L. Monser, who has served as Emerson’s president since 2010 and as chief operating officer from 2001-2015, will retire Oct. 1.
PM Environmental, Inc. [LANSING, MI] has promoted Beth Sexton to Chief Operating Officer. Sexton, who has been with PM for more than 15 years, previously served as the National Manager for Due Diligence Services.
ZAGG Inc. [SALT LAKE CITY, UT] (NASDAQ: ZAGG) announced the appointment of Jim Kearns as chief operating officer. Prior to joining ZAGG Inc, Kearns served as vice president of global operations for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. Prior to his time with HP, Kearns spent 15 years at Dell in several operational roles.
Ramboll [ARLINGTON, VA] has announced the appointment of Guy Lewis as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of its Global Environment & Health business. Lewis previously served as the E&H Finance Director and before that as Chief Financial Officer of ENVIRON Holdings, Inc., which Ramboll acquired in 2014.
Adlib Software [TORONTO, ON] announced the appointment of Brett Mellon as the Chief Operating Officer. Brett has been Adlib’s Advisor on strategy and operations since 2017, following his tenure as VP of Operations at Shutterstock and SVP of Operations at PointClickCare.
Eagle Materials Inc. [DALLAS, TX] (NYSE: EXP) announced that Michael Haack has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Eagle Materials Inc. Prior to joining Eagle, Haack spent 17 years at Halliburton Energy Services. Haack holds a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, both in Industrial Engineering, and an MBA from Rice University.
NEW [NEW YORK] announced the recruitment of Bob Fitzpatrick as its new Chief Operating Officer. Fitzpatrick most recently was at Citigroup doing RPA work at the Citi Lean and Smart Automation center. Fitzpatrick also worked at Avon as the Director of Global Business Transformation and PMO. Previously Fitzpatrick worked at CIT Group, Fidelity Investments, and GE Capital.
