Primeritus Financial Services [NASHVILLE, TN] announced that Chris McGinness has been appointed its first Chief Operating Officer. McGinness previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Primeritus. Chris began his management career at ADESA, where he served as the controller prior to taking on the role of General Manager of their Sacramentoauto auction. Prior to entering private industry, Chris was a senior accountant with Perry-Smith, LLP.
Mercer [NEW YORK & LONDON] announced that Bala Viswanathan, CEO of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT) UK & Ireland Employee Benefits, will join Mercer as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his current role, Viswanathan served as JLT’s Chief Operating Officer and has a long track record of successfully leading global business operations.
Park Electrochemical Corp. [MELVILLE, NY] (NYSE: PKE) announced the election of Mark Esquivel as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Esquivel has been Senior Vice President — Aerospace of the Company since October 2017 and served as Vice President — Aerospace of the Company from April 2015 to October 2017, Vice President of Aerospace Composite Parts of Park Aerospace Technologies Corp. from March 2012 to April 2015 and President of Park Aerospace Technologies Corp. from June 2010 to March 2012. From September 2008 to June 2010, Esquivel was Vice President and General Manager of Neltec, Inc. Esquivel served as Manufacturing Manager of Neltec from August 2004 to September 2008 and as Materials Manager from February 2001 to August 2004.
SME [SOUTHFIELD, MI] announced that Steve Prahalis, vice president of SME Studios and Canadian Operations and interim vice president of Events, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Prahalis joined SME in 2007 from Reed Exhibitions, where he was president of its Canadian division. Before Reed, Prahalis also served in various positions at Key3Media, including director of strategic alliances and vice president of the International division.
HealthChannels [FT. LAUDERDALE] announced the hiring of Tony Andrulonis as COO. Prior to joining HealthChannels, Andrulonis held leadership roles throughout his nearly two-decade career including President of Emergency Medicine at Envision Health, and Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Baptist Health Southern Florida.
HM Insurance Group [PITTSBURGH, PA] announced that Domenic Palmieri has been named chief operating officer. Palmieri joined HM in 1997 in the finance and actuarial areas and over the years expanded his roles to controller and then to chief financial officer and treasurer before assuming his most current position as senior vice president, operations and strategic partnerships, in 2011.
Room to Read [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] has appointed Dan Stoner as Chief Operating Officer. Stoner joins Room to Read after eight years at Save the Children where he served as Vice President of Education and Child Protection. Prior to Save the Children, Stoner worked for Plan International in a variety of leadership roles spanning over a decade including Global Head of Strategy, Brazil Country Director and Regional Program Director based in Kenya.
Womply [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the appointment of Brad Paterson as the company’s first chief operating officer. Most recently, Paterson was a vice president at Intuit. Prior to Intuit, Paterson spent a decade serving in executive roles at PayPal and Visa.
Nine Energy Service, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (NYSE: NINE) announced that David Crombie will be promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President effective January 1, 2019. Currently, Crombie serves as Nine’s President, Completion Solutions and Executive Vice President. Before joining Nine, Crombie founded Crest Pumping Technologies, LLC, and served as President. Prior to Crest, Crombie served as Vice President of Operations and Sales for Pumpco Energy Services.
The Harrison-Rush Group [NEW YORK] has hired Meridith Dennes as its Chief Operating Officer. Dennes will also assume the role of Managing Director, Head of the firm’s newly established Diversity and Inclusion practice. Dennes was most recently a co-founder of Project Eve. Prior to founding Project Eve, Dennes spent 15 years working in investment banking.
Brixton Capital [SOLANA BEACH, CA] announced the appointment of Kurt Kaufman as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Kaufman was president of Blue Sky Basin Realty Partners, which he founded in 2014. Prior to Blue Sky, Kaufman spent 11 years with The Abbey Company.
Dave Cantin Group [NEW YORK] announced that Brian Brown has been named chief operating officer. Brown joins the Dave Cantin Group from GPB Capital. Prior to GPB Capital, Brown held management positions at General Motors Corporation in a variety of corporate, regional and field-level positions.
Arete Pharmacy Network [PHOENIX, AZ] announced that Don Meredith has been promoted to chief operating officer. Prior to his promotion, Meredith served as vice president of information technology and finance.
Infoverity [DUBLIN, OH & VALENCIA, SPAIN] announced the addition of Mark Thompson as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Infoverity, Thompson was with Aileron. Prior to Aileron, Thompson served as CEO for 14 years with LJB Inc.
Questco [CONROE, TX] announced that Brandon Hartsaw has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Hartsaw previously served as the Company’s Senior Vice President – Client Services. Prior to joining Questco earlier in 2018, Hartsaw was Director of Client Experience at Insperity.
