Synovus Financial Corp. [COLUMBUS, GA] (NYSE: SNV) announced the appointment of Kevin Blair as senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. Blair previously served as Synovus’ chief financial officer and will remain in this position on an interim basis until a successor is named. Blair joined Synovus as CFO in August 2016 after more than 20 years in the commercial banking industry, most recently as corporate treasurer for SunTrust.
Cura Partners, Inc. [PORTLAND, OR] announced the appointment of Angelo Lombardi as Chief Operating Officer. Lombardi joins Cura with more than 27 years in the hospitality industry, notably holding a previous role as Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer at La Quinta Inns and Suites for ten years.
TILT Holdings Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (CSE: TILT) announced the appointment of Lars Vaule to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining TILT, Vaule served as interim CEO for an angel-funded technology solution developing HIPAA compliant payment processing for independent medical offices and surgical centers. Prior to this, Vaule was a President and Board member of Jones & Vining. Value is also the founder of two technology companies – Shortlist and Signeta.com.
Felix & Paul Studios [MONTREAL, QC & SANTA MONICA, CA] announced that Martin Enault has joined the studio as Chief Operating Officer. Enault joins Felix & Paul Studios from international business conference leader C2, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of C2 and CEO of C2 Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining C2, Enault co-founded and headed Intellitix.
First Associates [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the promotion of Stephanie Jimenez to Chief Operations Officer. Jimenez joined the First Associates team three and a half years ago and has been overseeing and optimizing Operations at the company ever since.
Veracity Capital LLC [ATLANTA, GA] announces John Rogers as President and COO. Before Veracity Capital, Rogers was Director of Private Wealth in the Southeast Region and a Wealth Advisor at AYCO, a Goldman Sachs company. Before that, Rogers was a Vice President and Financial Advisor at AXA Equitable in New York.
Solera Health [PHOENIX, AZ] announced that Ian Gordon has joined the company’s executive team as president and chief operating officer. Gordon has served as a senior vice president of health insurance operations at Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. Gordon joined Regence in 2014 from McKesson Health Solutions, where he served as senior vice president and general manager. Previously, Gordon served as chief operations officer at BlueCross and BlueShield of North Carolina, president and CEO of Topaz Shared Services and president at Meritain Health.
UCI Health [ORANGE, CA] announced that Chad T. Lefteris was named chief operating officer, effective will join UCI Health on Dec. 17, 2018. Lefteris is currently vice president of operations of UNC REX Healthcare.
Vapor IO [AUSTIN, TX] announced the appointment of Jacques Greyling to its executive team as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Vapor IO, Greyling spent fifteen years at Rackspace in numerous leadership roles, most recently as SVP Global Infrastructure. During his time at Rackspace, Greyling also held positions as VP Global Datacenters and Engineering, VP Autohost, Managing Director UK and Director of Operations. Prior to Rackspace, Greyling held positions with Datacentrix and Nissan Automakers.
Brault [SAN DIMAS, CA] announced that Genise Burgess was recently appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Burgess began her career with Brault in 2010 as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management.
Casma Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] announced the appointment of Frank Gentile who has been serving as Casma’s interim chief operating officer, moves into the job on a full-time basis. Previously, Gentile served as senior vice president at Tekla Capital Management, LLC. Gentile has also held leadership roles at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Curis, Inc. and CytoTherapeutics, Inc.
Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. [CLEVELAND, OH] (NYSE: CLF) announced that it has named its current Executive Vice President, Business Development, Clifford T. Smith, as the Company’s Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2019. Since joining Cliffs in 2003, Smith has held many executive officer and senior leadership positions. Prior to holding the role of Executive Vice President, Business Development, Smith held the position of Executive Vice President, Seaborne Iron Ore. Smith previously served as Executive Vice President, Global Operations; as Vice President, Latin American operations and technical; and as General Manager of business development. Prior to joining Cliffs, Smith held mine management positions with Asarco and South Peru Copper Corporation.
Trustmark Corporation [JACKSON, MS] (NASDAQ: TRMK) announced that Duane A. Dewey has been named Chief Operating Officer of Trustmark National Bank effective January 1, 2019. Dewey has served as President of Corporate Banking at Trustmark since 2008. Previously, Dewey was responsible for the Central Region of Trustmark. Dewey joined Trustmark in 2003 as President of Wealth Management. Dewey began his banking career at Republic Bank (now part of Bank of America) in 1985 with corporate banking responsibilities in Dallas, Texas, and private banking responsibilities in Washington, D.C. and McLean, Virginia. Dewey also served as Managing Director of the wealth management division of Provident Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, before joining Trustmark.
Eyecare Services Partners [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of Nicholas C. Sacco as Chief Operating Officer. Sacco comes to ESP with 18 years of leadership experience at Sheridan Healthcare Inc. Over the course of his career at Sheridan, Sacco served in various operations and business development roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently Sacco was Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff. Prior to that, Sacco was Senior Vice President, Operations, for their Women’s and Children’s Healthcare Division.
Woundtech [FT. LAUDERDALE, FL] announced that Aqil Chishty has been formally named Chief Operating Officer. Aqil joined the company as a consultant in July 2017 and was made interim COO in January 2018. Prior to joining Woundtech, Chishty served as Chief Executive Officer for MDIG. Prior to MDIG, Chishty served as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Imaging Advantage.
Modsy [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Meredith Dunn has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Dunn joins Modsy after spending 5 years at Stitch Fix, most recently as their Vice President of Styling and Client Experience. Prior to joining Stitch Fix, Dunn was the Senior Director of Customer and Stylist Delight at Stella & Dot. Dunn also served as a Director at Walmart.com.
Plyzer Technologies Inc. [TORONTO, ON] (OTCQB: PLYZ) announced that Diego Hervas has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Hervas had an outstanding career at Xerox Corporation for more than 25 years with his last position as President of the European Channel Group between 2013-17.
PerkinElmer, Inc. [WALTHAM, MA] (NYSE: PKI) announced that it has named Prahlad Singh president and chief operating officer, effective January 1, 2019. Singh joined PerkinElmer in 2014 as president of the Diagnostics business. Singh was elected an officer of PerkinElmer in 2016 and executive vice president in March 2018. Singh served as general manager of GE Healthcare’s Women’s Health Business. Before that, Singh held senior executive level roles in strategy, business development and M&A at both GE and Philips Healthcare. From 1995 to 2007, he held leadership roles of increasing responsibility at DuPont Pharmaceuticals and subsequently Bristol Myers Squibb Medical Imaging which included managing the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
Boats Group [MIAMI, FL] announced the appointment of Brian Wolf as the company’s COO. Prior to joining Boats Group, Wolf oversaw Ford Motor Company’s autonomous vehicle go-to-market strategy and approach. Prior to his time at Ford, Wolf held various business and finance positions at Expedia Group.
