Genesis Motor America [FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA] announced Erwin Raphael has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer.Raphael has led all Genesis operations in the United States since March 2016. Before heading Genesis operations in the United States, Raphael successfully led a variety of critical business units for Hyundai Motor America including General Manager of the Western Region and Director of Engineering and Quality. Prior to joining Hyundai, Raphael held a number of leadership positions in vehicle development, engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing with Chrysler LLC, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and the International Truck and Engine Company.
Yum! Brands, Inc. [LOUISVILLE, KY] (NYSE: YUM) announced the promotion of David Gibbs to President and Chief Operating Officer. Gibbs, a 29-year veteran of the Company, has served as President and Chief Financial Officer for the last two years. Gibbs will retain his current Yum! Brands CFO role, title and responsibilities while the Company conducts a search to identify a successor CFO. Previously, Gibbs was CEO of the global Pizza Hut Division, and President and CFO of Yum! Restaurants International. Gibbs also served as Yum! Chief Strategy Officer during which time he revamped Yum! Brands’ global restaurant operations model, as Pizza Hut U.S. CFO and in various real estate and restaurant development leadership roles in KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
MJIC, Inc. [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced that Pierre Rouleau has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer. Rouleau has served as Chairman and COO of Green Light District Holdings, Inc., more commonly known as ShowGrow.
Aurcana Corporation [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSXV: AUN) announce the appointment of Brian K. Briggs to the position of Chief Operating Officer of Aurcana Corporation. Briggs has worked for both major mining companies such as Shell Mining and Rio Tinto as well as numerous private and public junior mining companies holding positions such as Mining Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Chief Engineer, V.P Technical Services, Mine Manager, President and CEO during the course of his career. Briggs will also remain the CEO of Ouray Silver Mines which was acquired by Aurcana in December 2018.
NIC Inc. [OLATHE, KS] (NASDAQ: EGOV) announces that Robert Knapp resigned as Chief Operating Officer. Knapp joined NIC in 1999 in a management role, and became Chief Operating Officer in 2012. The Company is not naming a successor at this time.
HelloPackage [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Kevin George has been named Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining HelloPackage, George was co-founder and CEO of InfoTycoon. Before InfoTycoon, George founded Progility Partners. George has also served in operating executive roles with Quris, Silverpop and Manhattan Associates.
The Select Group [RALEIGH, NC] announced Michael H. Barker as Chief Operating Officer. Barker previously served as a member of the board of directors of Eliassen Group from January 2017 to November 2018. Prior to this, Barker served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Experis – North America. Barker served as Chief Operating Officer of COMSYS IT Partners, prior to the ManpowerGroup acquisition. Barker joined COMSYS IT Partners as a result of a merger with Venturi Partners in 2004. Barker founded a systems integration company, LAN Solutions in 1987. Barker sold the company to Evernet in 1991, where he became part of their national leadership team.
LM Funding America, Inc. [TAMPA, FL] (NASDAQ: LMFA) announced the appointment of Mark Pajak as Chief Operating Officer. Pajak joined LM Funding from his position of President and Chairman of IIU, Inc. Since December 2011, Pajak has served as President and Chairman of DLC Holdings Corp. Pajak is also President and Chairman of Craven House Capital North America LLC and Chairman of Craven House Capital Plc. Prior to these roles Pajak was employed by Taylor Wimpey Plc., from 2001 to 2011 as a Sales and Marketing Director.
BlackBerry Limited [WATERLOO, ON] (NYSE: BB) announced the appointment of Bryan Palma as President and Chief Operating Officer. Palma comes to BlackBerry with nearly 20 years’ experience delivering rapid growth at some of the world’s largest and respected organizations such as Cisco, Boeing, Hewlett Packard, PepsiCo and the United States Secret Service. Most recently, Palma was Cisco’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of customer experience for the Americas. Prior to Cisco, Palma was the Vice President of Cyber and Security Solutions at Boeing.
