Putnam Investments [BOSTON, MA] announced the appointment of Aaron Cooper to the newly created role of EVP and Chief Operating Officer. Cooper previously served as the Chief Investment Officer of Equities. Before joining Putnam, Cooper was Managing Director of Research at Fidelity Investments from 2007 to 2011. Cooper also formerly managed Fidelity Advisor Health Care Fund, Fidelity VIP Health Care Portfolio, Fidelity Select Leisure Portfolio, and Fidelity Select Medical Equipment and Systems Portfolio.
Feedvisor [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Dani Nadel as its first President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition to her role at Feedvisor, Nadel is currently an adjunct professor of Marketing at NYU’s Stern School of Business. Nadel came to Feedvisor following a nearly six-year tenure as Chief Digital Marketing Officer, Clubs and E-Commerce at Scholastic. Prior to Scholastic, Nadel served as president of Publicis Modem, as well as senior vice president of marketing at Digitas, a Publicis subsidiary.
Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. [WEST LAFAYETTE, IN] (NASDAQ: BASI) announced that D. Thomas “Tom” Oakley has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Oakley served as Chief Executive Officer of Seventh Wave Laboratories and joined BASi in July of last year when BASi acquired the operations of Seventh Wave. Prior to his tenure at Seventh Wave Laboratories, Oakley led DTO Associates and served as President and COO of MPI Research, President and CEO of ChanTest Corporation, and President and CEO of Bridge Laboratories.
Seiler LLP [REDWOOD CITY, CA] announced that Kevin Paul has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Seiler, Paul spent 10 years as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Blakely Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman LLP.
FedEx Corp. [MEMPHIS, TN] announced that Raj Subramaniam has been appointed president and chief operating officer. This appointment follows David J. Bronczek’s personal decision to retire as president and chief operating officer and from the Board. Subramaniam will continue to serve as president and CEO of FedEx Express and will also serve as co-president and co-CEO of FedEx Services. Subramaniam has been with FedEx for more than 27 years and has held various executive level positions in several operating companies and international regions.
Cinedigm [LOS ANGELES, CA] (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced that Gary Loffredo has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Loffredo has been a key management figure with Cinedigm since 2000, working in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President – Business Affairs, General Counsel, Secretary, and Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer, and serving on the Board of Directors. Loffredo is also Corporate Secretary. Loffredo was previously Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Cablevision Cinemas, and an attorney at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
Arhaus [CLEVELAND, OH] announced that Mark Thompson has been named President & COO. Thompson joined the company in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer and has served as a strategic advisor during his tenure. In the 1990s, Thompson became the CFO of Lexford Residential Trust. After selling Lexford to Equity Residential, Thompson served as CEO of NASDAQ-listed International Total Services.
7.ai [SAN JOSE, CA] announced the appointment of Rohan Ganeson as the company’s chief operating officer. Prior to joining 7.ai Ganeson spent the last 10 years at Optus. At Optus, Ganeson served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as Managing Director, Customer/Digital. Prior to Optus, he held leadership roles in companies including Keycorp, 3 Mobile and Hewlett Packard.
HealthEC, LLC [EDISON, NJ] announced that Robert Osburn has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining HealthEC, Osburn held numerous positions at Unisys HIM and Molina Healthcare Corporation’s Molina Medicaid Solutions unit, including Chief Health Policy Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Business & Strategic Development. Osburn has also held senior leadership roles at Healthcare Enhancement Systems Inc., Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, Comprehensive Care Corporation, and other healthcare organizations.
Catalent, Inc. [SOMERSET, NJ] (NYSE: CTLT) announced that Senior Vice President, Global Operations Alessandro Maselli has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer, a new position within Catalent. Prior to this appointment, Maselli was Senior Vice President of Catalent’s Global Operations. Maselli joined Catalent in 2010 as Director of Operations at Catalent’s pharmaceutical, nutritional, and cosmetics plant in Aprilia, Italy. In 2013, Maselli was appointed General Manager of Zydis® operations at Catalent’s facility in Swindon, U.K, and in 2015 he became Vice President of Operations, Europe, for Catalent’s Drug Delivery Solutions business unit. Prior to Catalent, Maselli held leadership roles at Alstom, SGS, and ABB.
Glassdoor [MILL VALLEY, CA] announced Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to Glassdoor President. Prior to serving as Glassdoor COO, Sutherland-Wong was Glassdoor’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of Monetizatio. Earlier in his career, Sutherland-Wong held operations and product management roles at LinkedIn and previously worked as a consultant at Bain & Company.
Ready Capital Corporation [NEW YORK] (NYSE: RC) announced that Carole Mortensen, Chief Operating Officer has resigned from the Company. Mortensen’s primary responsibilities will be assumed by Chief Financial Officer Rick Herbst on an interim basis.
Surgery Partners, Inc. [NASHVILLE, TN] (NASDAQ: SGRY) announced that Eric Evans has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective April 1, 2019. Evans has most recently served as President of Hospital Operations at Tenet Healthcare Corporation. From 2004 until 2018, Evans held various positions within Tenet Healthcare Corporation, including as chief executive officer of Tenet’s former Texas region, as market chief executive officer of The Hospitals of Providence and, prior to that, positions with Tenet’s former Dallas-area Lake Pointe Health Network including chief executive officer, chief operating officer and director of business development.
