Spero Health [BRENTWOOD, TN] announced an executive leadership addition with the appointment of Edward Littlejohn as Chief Operating Officer. Littlejohn’s most recent position was with Meridian Behavioral Health Systems where he was responsible for operations over nine facilities in six states. Prior to that, Littlejohn served as the Chief Operating Officer of hospitals within Tenet Healthcare and Kaiser Permanente.
The Bowery Presents [NEW YORK] announced that Don Simpson has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Simpson began in the music industry as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for MCA Concerts Canada, when he started the company in 1990, before taking over operations as President for the following fifteen years. Following the sale of the concert company in 2007, Simpson relocated to New York to serve as EVP, Productions and Business Development of Madison Square Garden Entertainment for eight years. Simpson was most recently COO of The Feldman Agency.
Blackhawk Network [PLEASANTON, CA] announced that Nick Samurkas has been appointed as the company’s first chief operating officer. Samurkas holds more than 20 years of experience in the payments industry in senior management roles. Before joining Blackhawk, Samurkas served as chief operations officer at Moneris. Prior to that, Samurkas led the Canadian business at Chase Paymentech.
The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency [WASHINGTON, DC] has appointed Monte J. Stanford as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining DCHFA, Stanford spent three years as the Chief of Staff at MassHousing in Boston, Massachusetts. Stanford’s experience in public finance also includes Manager of Multifamily Public Finance at Fannie Mae for six years, Senior Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC for four years, nine years as the Managing Director of Financial Engineering at Information Engineering Services, and two years working as an independent affordable housing finance consultant at the firm he founded, the Stanford Advisory Group.
Afilias [HORSHAM, PA] announced that it has promoted Ram Mohan to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Mohan joined Afilias in June 2001 as Chief Technology Officer. Mohan was appointed Executive Vice President in 2008. For over a decade, Mohan served as an ICANN Board member representing SSAC.
Misonix, Inc. [FARMINGDALE, NY] (NASDAQ: MSON) announced that Sharon Klugewicz has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Klugewicz served as Chief Quality & Regulatory Affairs Officer at Chembio Diagnostics Systems, as well as President of the Americas, and Chief Operating Officer. Prior, Klugewicz spent over twenty years at Pall Corporation, where she served as Sr. Vice President of Global Scientific & Laboratory Services.
Mesa Air Group, Inc. [PHOENIX, AZ] (NASDAQ: MESA) has named Brad Rich as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Rich served as United Airlines’ Senior Vice President of United Express Operations. Prior to his role with United, Rich spent 27 years at SkyWest, Inc. During his tenure at SkyWest, Rich spent 20 years as chief financial officer and three years as president. Mike Ferverda, who has been serving as COO in an interim capacity for the past year. will return to his role as Senior Vice President, Regulatory and Special Projects.
m+ funds [DARIEN, CT] announced the appointment of Brad Berggren as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining m+ funds Berggren was the Founder, CEO and CIO of Parametric Risk Advisors. Prior to Parametric, Berggren served as the COO of Bank of America’s Equity Financial Products Division and as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns.
Prophecy Development Corp. [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSX: PCY) announced the appointment of Michael Doolin as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2019. Prior to joining Prophecy, Doolin was Chief Operating Officer at Klondex Mines Ltd. Prior to Klondex, Doolin worked in operations with Great Basin Gold, McClelland Laboratories, Eagle Pilcher Minerals, GD Resources, Marigold Mining, Corona Gold, and Round Mountain Gold, all situated in Nevada.
Engine [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Keith Grossman as the company’s first global chief operating officer, effective April 15, 2019. Grossman will join Engine from Bloomberg Media, where he has served as global chief revenue officer since August 2016 and previously held senior roles in publishing and sales.
Sonic Foundry [MADISON, WS] announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer, Michael Norregaard. Norregaard joined the company in 2013, most recently holding the role of SVP of Customer Experience and Mediasite Events. Norregaard has held the SVP of Sales Operations and VP of Business Development titles.
