Genesco Inc. [NASHVILLE, TN] (NYSE: GCO) announced that Mimi Eckel Vaughn has been named chief operating officer of the Company. In addition to her new role, Vaughn will continue as chief financial officer until a new chief financial officer is appointed. Prior to joining the Company, Vaughn was executive vice president of business development and marketing and acting chief financial officer for Link2Gov Corporation in Nashville. From 1993 to 1999, Vaughn was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Before joining McKinsey, Vaughn held corporate finance positions at Goldman Sachs & Co., Wasserstein Perella & Co., and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Beecher Reagan [HOUSTON, TX] announced the hiring of Angela Navarro as president and chief operating officer. Navarro joins Beecher Reagan directly from the management consulting industry, having most recently held the role of senior vice president of global operations at North Highland Worldwide Consulting.
Affinity Living Group [HICKORY, NC] has appointed Neal Lail as Chief Operating Officer. Lail joined the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in May of 2016, has been responsible for the company’s market growth, delivering results which led to his promotion as Chief Marketing Officer in 2018. Prior to joining Affinity Living Group, Neal held senior positions in the acute care, post-acute care, hospice care, and Medicare Advantage payer industries.
Nextiva [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced that it has named Marc Stoll as President and Chief Operating Officer. Stoll is a seasoned business leader, coming to Nextiva with more than 20 years of experience in leading technology companies like Apple, CA, Compaq, and most recently, Anaplan through periods of significant change and growth. Most notably, Stoll served as Apple’s VP Worldwide Sales Finance.
TPI Composites, Inc. [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] (Nasdaq: TPIC) announced that it has appointed Ramesh Gopalakrishnan as its Chief Operating Officer – Wind. Gopalakrishnan has over 25 years of international wind energy, operations, manufacturing and technology experience. Since joining TPI in September 2016, Gopalakrishnan has helped set up greenfield operations in Mexico, China and India and has also developed TPI’s long-term technology strategy and strengthened our technical capability. Prior to joining TPI, Gopalakrishnan served in executive leadership roles at Senvion GmbH and Suzlon Energy Composites. Gopalakrishnan also worked in various technology, supply chain and operational leadership roles at Halliburton Company and General Electric Company earlier in his career.
Republic Services, Inc. [PHOENIX, AZ] (NYSE: RSG) announced that Jon Vander Ark has been named president of the Company. Prior to this appointment, Vander Ark served as chief operating officer. Vander Ark joined Republic Services in January 2013 as EVP, chief marketing officer. Prior to Republic, Vander Ark served as a partner at McKinsey & Company’s Detroit office. Tim Stuart has been appointed chief operating officer, succeeding Vander Ark. Stuart joined Republic Services in 2006 as director of operations and has since held roles of increasing responsibility, including area president; vice president, customer experience; region vice president; region president; and most recently EVP, operations.
Effectual [HOBOKEN, NJ] announced the placement of Chuck Price as Chief Operating Officer. Price has worked with cloud technologies since their inception. Holding executive roles at Fiserv, TD Ameritrade, Coresite, Ajubeo, SANS Institute, and Logicworks.
Zadara Storage, Inc. [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Nir Ben Zvi as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Zadara, Ben Zvi served 5 years as CFO at Disney-backed digital content platform, Playbuzz. Prior to Playbuzz, Nir served as CFO at Playscape. Prior to that, Ben Zvi was a team leader at Ernst & Young, high-tech practice and Tax department. Prior to Ernst & Young, Ben Zvi served as budget and control manager at the Ministry of Defense.
Optima Partners [NEW YORK] announced David Gold as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Gold served as a senior member of Morgan Stanley’s prime brokerage consulting team. Earlier, Gold worked at Willis Towers Watson, BlackRock, Mitsui & Co., and CIBC Oppenheimer.
The Global Business Travel Association [ALEXANDRIA, VA] announced that after ten years at the organization, Michael W. McCormick has chosen to step down as Chief Operating Officer.
Century Aluminum Company [CHICAGO, IL] (NASDAQ: CENX) announced that its has elected Jesse E. Gary as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Gary will continue to serve as Century’s General Counsel. Gary joined Century in 2010 as Associate General Counsel. Gary was promoted to Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in February 2013. Prior to joining Century, Gary practiced law at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York.
Transplace [DALLAS, TX] announced the appointment of David Marsh as chief operating officer of Celtic Intermodal. Marsh comes to Transplace from Hub Group, where he held multiple leadership positions, including chief supply chain officer, chief marketing officer and president of Hub Group Ohio and Hub Group Detroit. Most recently, Marsh served as the company’s chief highway solutions officer and executive vice president.
American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSX: HOT.UN) announced Bruce Pittet has been appointed Senior Vice President, Asset Management & Chief Operating Officer. Pittet is a seasoned hospitality executive, with more than 30 years of hotel management, planning and operating experience across North America. For the past six years, Pittet was Senior Vice President at ONE Lodging, which is now part of Aimbridge Hospitality – North America’s largest hotel management company and AHIP’s independent hotel manager. Previously, Pittet completed hotel development and operations consulting work for Starwood Development, and held various roles at Intrawest, including General Manager/Vice President for Snowshoe Mountain and later, Regional Vice President of Lodging.
