Freed Maxick [BUFFALO, NY] announced that Bryan J. Donohue joined Freed Maxick as the Firm’s first COO. Donohue spent the last 14 years with the Buffalo News – most recently as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Treasurer and Board Member.
New Relic [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] (NYSE: NEWR) announced that current board member Michael Christenson will join the company as president and chief operating officer, a newly created position, on October 1. Christenson will remain on the New Relic Board of Directors. Christenson has most recently served as a managing director at Allen & Company LLC, since 2010. Christenson has been a member of the board of directors of LogMeIn, Inc. since 2010. From 2006 to 2010, Christenson was the president and chief operating officer of CA, Inc., having previously served as executive vice president of strategy and corporate development.
Cafe X [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Young Han, formerly a Limelight Health and Philz Coffee Executive, has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Han held multiple executive roles at Limelight Health including VP of Operations and VP of People & Culture. Prior, Han spent 3 years as the Director of Marketing for Philz Coffee. Young also spent several years at Starbucks where he managed over 15 locations across the Bay Area and was the spokesperson for their Got Milk? Ad campaign.
Kingstone Companies, Inc. [KINGSTON, NY] (NASDAQ: KINS) announced that Meryl Golden will be joining the senior management team at KINS, as its Chief Operating Officer. Golden will hold the same position at Kingstone Insurance Company. Golden brings to Kingstone over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having previously held Northeast Regional General Management roles at both Progressive and Liberty Mutual. Most recently Golden was the head of business development for Arity’s Insurance Solutions business.
Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. [LAKE FOREST, CA] (NASDAQ: TACO) announced the promotion of Chad Gretzema to Chief Operating Officer, a new role at the Company. Gretzema has been with Del Taco since 2012 and was most recently Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Innovation, having previously served as Senior Vice President, Operations Support and Engagement. Earlier in his career, he held positions in operations, training, and marketing at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Phoenix Children’s Academy, Noodles & Company, and Oscar Mayer Foods.
CloudJumper [GARNER, NC] announced the appointment of Frank Picarello as Chief Operating Officer for the company. Before joining CloudJumper, Picarello was SVP of managed services for TeamLogic IT. Prior to that role, Picarello held the post of Chief Operating Officer for TeamLogic IT for nearly seven years. Prior to that role, Picarello was COO at CMIT Solutions, Inc. Picarello has also held executive positions with Cadence Management Advisors, All Covered, Nortel Networks, MicroAge, and IBM.
Deep Down, Inc. [HOUSTON, TX] (OTCQB: DPDW) announced the appointment of Micah Simmons as Chief Operating Officer, a new role at the Company. Simmons was most recently Vice President of Project Management for Global Operations in Siemens Oil and Gas. Prior to Siemens, Simmons spent 20 years with TechnipFMC most recently as a Vice President, Global Supply.
Veris Wealth Partners [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Stephanie Cohn Rupp has been named Chief Operating Officer.Before joining Veris, Rupp was Managing Director and Partner, Head of Impact Investing, at Tiedemann Advisors. Prior to that, Rupp was CEO of Toniic. Previously, Cohn Rupp held globally focused investment roles at Omidyar Network, PlaNet Finance, UBS, and The World Bank.
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America [WASHINGTON, DC] has named Lori M. Reilly as chief operating officer. Reilly has been at PhRMA for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as executive vice president of policy, research and membership. Prior to joining PhRMA, Reilly spent several years on Capitol Hill working as a counsel for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and as counsel for a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
DexCom, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] (NASDAQ: DXCM) announced the promotion of Quentin Blackford to the role of Chief Operating Officer in addition to his duties as Chief Financial Officer. Blackford has served as Dexcom’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2017.
MKS Instruments, Inc. [ANDOVER, MA] (NASDAQ: MKSI) announced that James A. Schreiner joined MKS on September 16, 2019 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Schreiner succeeds John T.C. Lee as COO and will report to Lee, who is President of MKS and, as previously announced, will become Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2020. Schreiner joins MKS from Emerson Electric, where he was most recently the Senior Vice President of Global Operations for the Measurement & Analytical Group of Automation Solutions. At Emerson Automation Solutions, Schreiner also held commercial leadership positions as the Vice President of North America and the Vice President of Europe. Schreiner began with Emerson Electric as Vice President, Global Operations for the Flow Group of Automation Solutions. Prior to Emerson Electric, Schreiner served in progressive leadership roles at Plexus Corporation, ILX Lightwave Corporation, Tetrapak and 3M Corporation.
Sarment Holding Limited [TORONTO, ON] (TSXv: SAIS) announced the appointment of Arnaud Elnecave as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this appointment, Elnecave has spent the last 13 years of his career working at Dalet Digital Media Systems, the past three years as Vice President of Global Marketing.
Beyond Meat, Inc. [EL SEGUNDO, CA] (NASDAQ: BYND) announced that Sanjay Shah has been named its Chief Operating Officer, effective September 18, 2019. Before joining Beyond Meat, Shah served as Senior Vice President of Energy Operations at Tesla. From January 2011 to May 2018, Shah held a variety of leadership roles at Amazon, increasing in responsibility over time, including as Vice President of North American Fulfillment Centers. Prior to Amazon, Shah served as Managing Director, Southeast Asia of MFG.com from September 2009 to January 2011.
