Orchid Underwriters Agency, LLC [VERO BEACH, FL] announced that Katherine Cody has joined Orchid Insurance as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Orchid Insurance, Cody served as Chief Operating Officer, Personal Lines, for Farmers Insurance Group.
Precision BioSciences, Inc. [DURHAM, NC] (NASDAQ: DTIL) announced that David Thomson has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Thomson has served as Precision’s Chief Development Officer since 2017. Prior to joining Precision, Thomson most recently served as Senior Vice President, Research and Nonclinical Development for Shire Plc. Earlier in his career Thomson served as Senior Vice President and Global Head, Research and Development Operations for Shire.
Toll Brothers, Inc. [HORSHAM, PA] (NYSE: TOL) announced that Richard T. Hartman, president and chief operating officer, will retire from the Company on December 31, 2019. James W. Boyd and Robert Parahus, each currently Regional Presidents with over 30 years of experience in the home building industry, will succeed Hartman on November 1, 2019. They will serve as Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Chief Operating Officers. Boyd joined Toll Brothers in 1993 to oversee the Company’s entry into the California market. Boyd was appointed Regional President in 2005. Parahus began his career with Toll Brothers in 1986. Parahus was appointed Regional President in 2006.
Moody’s Corporation [NEW YORK] (NYSE: MCO) announced that it has named Robert Fauber, currently President of Moody’s Investors Service, to the new role of Chief Operating Officer of Moody’s Corporation. Fauber has served as President of MIS since 2016. Fauber joined Moody’s in 2005 as the Head of Corporate Development for the Corporation. In 2013, Fauber was appointed to serve as Global Head of the MIS Commercial Group. Prior to Moody’s, Fauber worked in investment banking and corporate strategy at Citigroup in New York, London and Hong Kong.
Riverbed Technology® [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced the promotion of Dan Smoot to Chief Operating Officer. Smoot joined Riverbed from Salesforce where he was Executive Vice President of Global Partner Sales. Smoot was also the Executive Vice President of Market Readiness at Salesforce. Prior to Salesforce, Smoot worked at VMware as Senior Vice President of Global Customer Operations. Before VMware, he spent more than 10 years in a variety of senior leadership roles at Cisco.
Cerebral Therapeutics™, Inc. [AURORA, CO] announced the appointment of John Foster as President and Chief Operating Officer. Foster was previously the founder and CEO of CNS Therapeutics which was later sold to Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Foster served on the leadership team of Restore Medical, which held an IPO in 2006 and was acquired by Medtronic in 2008. Earlier, Foster worked in Medtronic’s Neuromodulation business and at Genentech. Foster currently serves as Chairman of Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and serves on the Board of Directors for both SpineThera and NTF Therapeutics.
Golden Predator Mining Corp. [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSX.V: GPY) announced Michael (Mike) Maslowski will rejoin the Company as Chief Operating Officer. Maslowski previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Golden Predator from 2011 to 2014. Maslowski previously worked with Golden Predator from 2011 to 2014 as Vice President of Exploration and then Chief Operating Officer. Prior to 2011, Maslowski was with Coeur d’Alene Mines for ten years in numerous positions including Director of Exploration and Assistant General Manager of the Palmarejo Mine in Mexico.
