Azitra, Inc. [FARMINGTON, CT] announced the appointment of Jeanne M. Bertonis as Chief Operating Officer. Bertonis joins Azitra from Visgo Therapeutics, Inc., where she was Chief Executive Officer and a co-founder. Bertonis has served multiple public and private healthcare companies and venture capital firms in the United States and Canada in management and strategic business consulting roles. In addition to Visgo Therapeutics, Bertonis served as President and CEO of Biosyntech, Inc., and was President and COO of Clera, Inc. Prior to that, Bertonis was Chief Business Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development at Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and before that, Senior Director, Corporate Development at Genzyme Corporation.
Davidson Hotels & Resorts [ATLANTA, GA] announced the appointment of Pete Sams as its Chief Operating Officer. Sams joins the company from Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where he served as executive vice president of full-service operations. Prior to joining Interstate, Sams served as a regional vice president at White Lodging.
The Supreme Cannabis Company, Inc. [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: FIRE) announced that John Griese has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Supreme Cannabis, Griese served as the COO for medical and recreational cannabis companies Creso Pharma Limited and Bloom Farms. Before his work in the cannabis industry, Griese led Pepsico’s Frito Lay Canada supply chain and headed supply chain for Nestle’s U.S. based Frozen DSD division. Following Nestle, Griese was VP Supply Chain for Sofina Foods.
Govplace [RESTON, VA] announced that Troy Hartless has joined Govplace as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Govplace, Hartless served as the CEO of TLJ Capital for a decade where he successfully assessed and realigned operations for companies in the SaaS, IT Services, and Software industries. Before that, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Callis Communications. Preceding Callis, Hartless served as CEO of Secure Data in Motion. Hartless also held public-sector positions as VP of Enterprise Solutions and Product Management at GTSI Corporation and COO at Infodata Systems. Earlier in his career, Hartless held management positions at a joint venture between Ericcson, and General Electric.
New Pacific Metals Corp. [VANCOUVER, BC] (TSX-V: NUAG) announced the appointment of Mark Cruise to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Cruise is the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Trevali Mining Corporation. Prior to Trevali, Cruise held multiple positions in Europe and North America with Anglo American plc. Cruise has previously served as the Vice President, Business Development and Vice President, Exploration of Cardero Resources Corp.
Decision Lens [ARLINGTON, VA] announced that Alison Denton has been promoted to lead the operations of the company as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Decision Lens, Denton was the Director of Facilities Planning at Arlington Public Schools. Denton also previously worked as an information technology professional and administrator at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Lithia Motors Inc. [MEDFORD, OR] (NYSE: LAD) announced that Chris Holzshu, Executive Vice President, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Holzshu most recently served as Executive Vice President. This followed six years as Chief Financial Officer (2010-2016) and time spent as Chief Human Resources Officer.
ATCC [MANASSAS, VA] announced the appointment of Raymond D. Stapleton to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining ATCC, Stapleton was senior vice president of technical operations at clinical stage biotechnology company Iovance Biotherapeutics.
