Purchasing Power, LLC [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Robin Holland has been appointed as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Holland succeeds Elizabeth Halkos, who served many years as a senior executive of the company and COO since 2017. Holland previously held senior leadership roles at Equifax in sales and operations. Holland’s most recent role at Equifax was senior vice president, Employer Services Business for the company’s Workforce Solutions. Prior to Equifax, Holland had nine years of leadership roles at Mitsubishi Electronics in Operations, Customer Care and Market Research.
Granite Construction Incorporated [WATSONVILLE, CA] (NYSE: GVA) announced that Kyle T. Larkin has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer. Larkin joined Granite in 1996 as an estimator in the company’s Reno, Nevada operations and held successive positions of increasing responsibility including project engineer, project manager, chief estimator and manager of construction. From 2011 to 2013, Larkin served as president of Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Granite. In 2014 Larkin was promoted to vice president and Nevada regional manager, and in 2017, Larkin was named senior vice president and California group manager. Most recently, in 2019, Larkin was named the senior vice president and manager of the Construction Materials Operations.
Sapphire Ventures [PALO ALTO, CA] announced the promotion of Abigail Johnson to managing director, general counsel and chief operating officer. Johnson joined Sapphire Ventures in 2015 as counsel and vice president of operations. Prior to joining Sapphire, Johnson was at Jones Day.
Homrich Berg [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Kyle Glenn has joined the HB executive team as Chief Operating Officer. Glenn started his career at Homrich Berg as a financial advisor before completing his MBA and working with Bain & Company as a Manager in the Atlanta office.
OpenGate Capital [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced that Paul Bridwell has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Bridwell joined OpenGate in November of 2018 and has significant tenure as a private equity professional both as a portfolio company CEO and as an operations leader.
Glooko [MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA] announced the appointment of Komathi Stem as Chief Operating Officer. Stem comes to Glooko having served in a wide range of leadership roles in the life science industry. In her previous role, Stem was founder and CEO of monARC Bionetworks. Prior to monARC Bionetworks, Stem has led the transformation of clinical trials via her leadership roles at Science 37, Genentech, AstraZeneca, Amgen and Eli Lilly.
Avidity Biosciences, Inc. [SAN DIEGO, CA] announced the appointment of Joseph Baroldi as Chief Operating Officer. Baroldi brings over twenty years of experience in the life sciences industry to Avidity. Most recently, Baroldi was Vice President, Business Development at Ionis Pharmaceuticals. Before that, Baroldi held several roles in strategic planning and scientific research at Hologic (formerly Gen-Probe, Inc.).
Calysta [MENLO PARK, CA] has appointed Thomas JG Huot as its Chief Operating Officer. Huot brings more than 20 years of experience in research in biological sciences, venture investing, project financing and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Calysta, Huot had previously been with VantagePoint Capital Partners. At VantagePoint, Huot was a Managing Director. In 2018, Calysta appointed Huot as Chief Business Officer.
