Comprehensive Finance, Inc. [GRAPEVINE, TX] announced Charles Brown has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Brown has served the company for nearly a decade, most recently serving as vice president of engineering and business development. Brown started at CFI in 2011 as a national sales manager.
ViacomCBS Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: VIACA) announced that Kelly Day has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI). As a result of this appointment, Melody Tan, who has served as Chief Operating Officer of VCNI since 2017, will be leaving the company. Day is the former President of Viacom Digital Studios. Prior to her roles at ViacomCBS, Day led various digital and e-commerce businesses at Discovery Communications, Awesomeness TV, and AOL. Day also served as CEO of venture-backed company, Blip Networks, prior to its sale to Maker Studios.
PEAK6 [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Judi Hart is being elevated to a new role as Chief Operating Officer. Hart was previously Chief People Officer at the company, a position she held since June 2018. Hart joined PEAK6 from Apple where she was Director of Human Resources for the media business of Internet and Software Services. Previously, Hart served as Vice President of People and Culture at Beats Music and Beats Electronics. Prior to joining Beats, Hart held an HR leadership role at Blizzard Entertainment.
Piston Group [DETROIT, MI] announced that Gordon R. Fournier has been named chief operating officer and chief financial officer, effective March 16, 2020. Previously, Fournier served as president of Masco Cabinetry, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation. Fournier also held the role as the company’s chief financial officer. Prior to joining Masco, Fournier held numerous financial leadership roles with Johnson Controls Inc. including vice president of finance positions for Automotive Global Complete Seat, Automotive Electronics & Interiors, and Automotive Seating Americas. Fournier also served as executive director, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis; and vice president and chief financial officer, Varta Autobatterie GmbH in Germany.
Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: AXSM) announced the appointment of Mark Jacobson as Chief Operating Officer. Jacobson has been a member of the Axsome team since April 2014, and has served as Senior Vice President, Operations since September 2017. Prior to joining Axsome, Jacobson was Director of Corporate Development at Stemline Therapeutics, Inc.
Entercom Communications Corp. [PHILADELPHIA, PA] (NYSE: ETM) announced that Chief Operating Officer, Weezie Kramer, will be retiring later this year after nearly 20 years with the Company and over 40 years in broadcast radio. The Company also announced that Kramer has been added to its Board of Directors. Entercom has named Susan Larkin, currently Market Manager for Entercom New York and Regional President overseeing other markets, as the Company’s new Chief Operating Officer, effective May 5. Kramer will continue as Chief Operating Officer until the transition and will then serve for the remainder of the year as a Senior Executive Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer. Larkin joined Entercom in 2017 as Regional President overseeing San Francisco and Sacramento. Larkin was later tapped as Market Manager for New York in 2018. Prior to joining Entercom in 2017, Larkin served as Regional Vice President at Cox Media Group. Previous roles have included Vice President and General Manager at Cox Media Group in Orlando and General Sales Manager for ABC-Disney Radio in Minneapolis. Larkin currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and is a Board Director for New York Market Radio (NYMRAD). Larkin has previously served as Radio Vice Chair for the Florida Association of Broadcasters and Board Director for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and served as President of American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) in the Tampa, Columbus and Minneapolis chapters.
DV Trading, LLC [CHICAGO, IL] announced that Jeffrey E. Kopiwoda has joined the firm as its Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Before joining DV, Kopiwoda was a partner at Chicago-based law firm Funkhouser Vegosen Liebman and Dunn, Ltd. Kopiwoda will remain of counsel to the law firm. Prior to re-joining FVLD in 2011, Kopiwoda spent nearly seven years as Chief Legal Officer of a 500-person European-based hedge fund platform.
Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. [ATLANTA, GA] (NYSE: APTS) announced that Leonard A. Silverstein resigned from his position as the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Silverstein also resigned as a director of the Company, effective May 7, 2020. Silverstein will continue to act as a consultant to the Company.
Mikros Systems Corporation [PRINCETON, NJ] (OTCQB: MKRS) announced that Walter T. (Chuck) Bristow has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. Bristow fills a vacancy in the position of President resulting from the resignation of Mark Malone.
Mindtree [WARREN, NJ & BANGALORE, India] announced that it has appointed Dayapatra Nevatia as the Chief Operating Officer of the company. Dayapatra joins Mindtree from Accenture where he was the MD and Director of Delivery for Advanced Technology Centers in India.
SkillSource Learning Partners [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced that Kathleen Stone has joined the SLP team as Chief Operating Officer and its Board of Directors. In 2002, Stone was selected for the role of VP and Head of Learning & Development for ING’s U.S. operations. Stone served as Chief Learning Officer for Voya Financial since 2007.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society [RYE BROOK, NY] announced Troy Dunmire as EVP, chief operating officer. Dunmire comes to LLS after more than 20 years at Gap Inc., having served in multiple roles and functions across Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.
Appalachian Railcar Services, LLC [ELEANOR, WV] announced its appointment of Derek Kissick, as Chief Operating Officer at ARS. Prior to joining ARS, Kissick was the Executive Vice President of Railcar Repair Operations at CAD Railway Industries. Kissick also spent 11 years at Caltrax in Calgary, Canada serving in various roles such as Materials and Operations Manager before being promoted to the President of the company.
