Guess & Co. Corporation [MIAMI, FL] announced Michelle Stewart has been appointed president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the company. Stewart will continue to serve as deputy chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Guess & Co. Corporation, Stewart was a partner in a commercial financing business. Stewart began her business career as a real estate investor. In addition to Guess & Co. Corporation, Stewart is president and chairman of her own venture holding company, Stewart Intercontinental Capital. Stewart joined Guess & Co. Corporation initially as executive vice-president and managing director. Stewart also served as vice-chairman and chief executive officer of a for-profit social enterprise.
Revint [DALLAS, TX] announced that Kristina Bourke has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Revint, Bourke served as Group Senior Vice President for Vizient. Prior to Vizient, Bourke served as the General Manager of GE’s Healthcare IT business across the Americas.
Arcus Biosciences, Inc. [HAYWARD, CA] (NYSE: RCUS) announced that Jennifer Jarrett has rejoined Arcus as Chief Operating Officer. Before recently serving as Vice President of Corporate Development and Capital Markets of Uber Technologies, Inc., Jarrett was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Arcus Biosciences. Jarrett has served on Arcus’s board of directors since January 2019 and will remain on Arcus’s board in her new capacity. Prior to Arcus, Jarrett was Chief Financial Officer of Medivation. Before Medivation Jarrett spent 20 years in investment banking, most recently at Citigroup, and prior to that at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Pure Earth [NEW YORK] has named Mark Schnellbaecher as President and Chief Operating Officer. Richard Fuller, who founded the nonprofit, will remain as Chief Executive Officer, but will hand over day-to-day operations to Schnellbaecher. Before joining Pure Earth, Schnellbaecher served as Regional Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa for the International Rescue Committee. From 2002-2012, Schnellbaecher worked in Beirut, Lebanon, as the Regional Director for the Middle East and Europe for Catholic Relief Services. Earlier in his career, Schnellbaecher served in Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Cambodia, Pakistan and Thailand.
Keysight Technologies, Inc. [SANTA ROSA, CA] (NYSE: KEYS) announced that Satish Dhanasekaran has been appointed chief operating officer. Dhanasekaran has been president of Keysight’s largest business, the Communications Solutions Group, since 2017. Dhanasekaran joined the company in 2006. Prior to leading the Communications Solutions Group, Dhanasekaran managed the company’s wireless business.
Weber Shandwick [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Brian Offutt as Chief Workforce Innovation & Operations Officer. Offutt was Chief Operating Officer for Combs Enterprises from 2013-2016. Offutt also spent eight years as a senior operations executive for Viacom’s Nickelodeon Group. Offutt was previously Chief Operating Officer of Broadway Video. Offutt also led the formation of the Talent practice at Medialink, the strategic advisory division of Ascential. Earlier in his career, Offutt was an executive search consultant at Spencer Stuart and president and COO of digital agency Interdimensions.
Sharecare [ATLANTA, GA] announced that Pam Shipley has joined the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Spanning her 12 years with Centene, Shipley was responsible for strategy and business development for Envolve. Shipley also led the Provider division. Additionally, Shipley led the Business Implementation Group and IT Configuration Unit, served as plan president in two markets, and was the company’s first executive sponsor for digital transformation. Prior to Centene, Shipley held a number of positions at other leading healthcare organizations, including UnitedHealthcare.
SKAEL [SAN FRANCISCO, CA] announced Matt Cooley has joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer. Most recently Cooley served as Chief Revenue Officer at Quip. Cooley has also led go-to-market organizations at Citrix Systems and at Mixpanel.
Context Labs [CAMBRIDGE, MA & AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS] announced that Mark McDivitt, has joined the team as Chief Operating Officer. McDivitt comes to the company from State Street Corporation, where he spent the last decade of his career, culminating in his tenure as global head of ESG at State Street. Prior to that, McDivitt served as the head of ESG Solutions for State Street Global Exchange and Managing Director of US Hedge Fund Sales. Before joining State Street in 2010, McDivitt was Founder and President of CarbonCCY Management. McDivitt began his career with Fuji Bank in Tokyo, Japan trading interest rate swaps followed by fifteen years with Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in Tokyo, Singapore and London as Head of Hedge Fund Sales.
Questor Technology Inc. [CALGARY, AB] announced that Darko Ulakovic has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Questor, Ulakovic was most recently Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain of CoolIT Systems. Prior to CoolIT, Ulakovic was President of AVL Group of companies. Before AVL, Ulakovic had several executive roles at Tesco Corporation.
Sedgwick [MEMPHIS, TN] appointed Jim Ryan to the newly created role of chief operating officer for the Americas. Ryan has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and claims management industry, with expertise in workers’ compensation, liability and litigation.
First Merchants Corporation [MUNCIE, IN] (NASDAQ: FRME) announced that Mark Hardwick, current COO and CFO, will become CEO. Hardwick joined First Merchants in November 1997 as corporate controller and was promoted to CFO in April of 2002. In 2016, Hardwick’s title expanded to include COO.
Delcath Systems, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: DCTH) announced that the Company appointed John Purpura, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer.
Heartland BancCorp [WHITEHALL, OH] (OTCQX: HLAN) the parent company of Heartland Bank, announced that Benjamin Babcanec has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Babcanec started his career with Heartland in 2001 in Retail Banking and eventually moved into the VP, Head of Retail position in 2012. In 2015, Babcanec was promoted to Senior Vice President.
Potbelly Corporation [CHICAGO, IL] (NASDAQ: PBPB) announced the appointment of Adam Noyes as the Company’s Chief Operations Officer effective as of August 28, 2020. The new COO position will assume the responsibilities of the Company’s prior Chief Restaurant Operations Officer position, which was vacated on September 4, 2020. Prior to his most recent position, Noyes served in a variety of senior leadership roles with Checkers and Rally’s Restaurants.
Creatd, Inc. [FORT LEE, NJ] (NASDAQ: CRTD) announced the appointment of Laurie Weisberg as its new Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Weisberg served as the Chief Sales Officer at Intent, and prior to that held senior leadership positions at numerous technology companies, including as Chief Revenue Officer at Thrive Global, and as part of the executive leadership team at Datalogix leading up to its acquisition by Oracle in 2015. Additionally, Laurie holds a seat on the advisory board of Crowdsmart.
